I was blocked by the OP for my thread in response. This is how this man reacts when a woman responds with facts stating the commonalities & questioning the uniqueness of the supposedly male experience. Because I am stubborn, I will restate what I said with screenshots as attached

Five years ago, she got COVID. By November 2021, she came to our clinic with disabling #LongCOVID symptoms. Today, for the first time in years, she told me she feels closer to her pre-COVID baseline. Closer to herself again. 🧵

What helped bladder dysfunction/spasticity: • Oxybutynin None of these interventions alone “cured” her. But together — combined with pacing, validation, rehabilitation principles, and time — they helped her reclaim pieces of her life.

In Long COVID care: Success is often not dramatic. It is cumulative. Incremental. Built slowly over years. To all the patients still in the middle of the fight: improvement is possible, even when progress feels painfully slow. 💙 #LongCOVID #MECFS #Dysautonomia #RehabMedicine

"The third misconception is that people don't get #LongCovid anymore... we still see plenty of people who develop long COVID after their second, third, fourth, fifth, episode of COVID." — @MichaelPelusoMD menshealth.com/health/a71130…

When our child was diagnosed with Crohn's, we were invited to attend a parent education class. I almost cried thinking about all the parents out there with kids with complex chronic illness who would give anything to take a class on how to manage their kid's illness. 1/2
When your child has a health condition, you become their medical care coordinator. It's a second job you never signed up for, received zero training for, but absolutely cannot fail at. And in between doctor visits, you’re mostly on your own 🧵1/4

ICYMI, #MECFS affects millions but is NOT part of standard clinical training. Advocacy Week (Mar 23–27), @PlzSolveCFS & @MEActnet will ask patient safety agencies to support our mission to introduce ME/CFS questions into qualifying national medical exams. ow.ly/Tqet50YoPG7

“That’s not my silo.” One line that explains why Long COVID care is so hard. A multisystem disease inside a siloed healthcare systemoften end up coordinating their own care—while living with fatigue, brain fog, and PEM. We must do better. #LongCOVIDAwarenessDay
