Gut microbiome Prevotella melaninogenica reduced Th17 cells and inflammation and favored in vivo production of short chain fatty acids. Butyrate also delayed progression of myeloma in mice.

We present our data on dietary risk factors for MGUS (NHANES) @Myeloma_Society #IMS23 Strong work led by @jainyne2002 @RoswellPark @MSK_DeptOfMed #mmsm #IMS23 higher intake of sugar drinks and low intake of fruits, vegetables, whole grains associated with increased MGUS risk
