In partnership with
@IDLO, our training on sexual harassment and gender-based violence (GBV) in Lamwo District is on. The session targets 30 district officials, including representatives from health centers, the
@Ugandapolice1,
@UgandaPrisons, Community Development Officers (CDOs), and others.
The training focuses on disseminating a Sexual Harassment Policy to raise awareness and enhance prevention efforts, addressing GBV as the most reported issue in police stations, health centers, and through FIDAโs Community Legal Volunteers (CLVs). It also aligns with the
@MinofHealthUG and Employment Act requirements for health centers to implement such policies.
As a feminist organization, FIDA Uganda is dedicated to protecting and empowering GBV survivors by providing legal representation and counseling while adhering to the โDo No Harmโ principle. This initiative emphasizes equipping stakeholders with the tools to combat GBV effectively.
