Huge win for Cardano & Algorand!! The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched a Blockchain Advisory Group. Cardano & Algorand are officially members, giving both ecosystems a seat at the table as blockchain adoption is explored at a global scale!!

Yesterday the maybe most unexpected moment of my professional career so far happened. I was invited to the German Parliament to speak at a panel about Agent-To-Agent Payments using Blockchain. An absolutely unreal moment. The room was packed with politician & businesses. I spoke about our work with Masumi, the work with Serviceplan, how companies are hiring & selling agents on our agent marketplace today already and why we chose to build on Cardano. Big shout-out and thanks to Bundesblock and Member of Parliament Marvin Schulz.

What if every bicycle had its own digital identity? Not just for theft protection, but for manufacturing, warranties, servicing, resale history and Digital Product Passports. I spoke with Bartek from BikeID about how they’re using NFC, RFID and Cardano-based infrastructure to bring order to a messy bike industry. The interesting part? They’re thinking about scale properly. Batching registrations. Grouping events. Using partner-chain style infrastructure. Anchoring the important proofs back to Cardano. Bikes first. Then maybe a lot more physical products after that. Watch here: youtu.be/1oo9g0i7W_w

Looking for ways to contribute to the open-source Cardano ecosystem? The @Amaru_Cardano core team has worked hard to organize some tasks that are great places for new people to contribute. We've already seen a new PR opened by @_hadelive_!

We hear a lot on Cardano how Hydra can help go really, really, really fast. That's cool but quite honestly, for most apps even, you'd rarely see the kind of user volume needed to fill the potential speed. A separate, unexplored and not much discussed benefit of Hydra is that it runs a small, local ledger that operates exactly like the Cardano L1 (this is what an isomorphic state channel means at a high level). However, you can tweak the protocol parameters to meet your needs (no minUTxO, no fees, etc). Where I think this has real, unexplored value is for Plutus Smart Contracts, specifically expensive or heavy ones (ZK, etc). If a contract would be too operationally heavy to operate on the L1 due to tax fees or CPU or RAM requirements, users could bridge in to the Hydra head, complete the ZK circuit or other smart contract conditions to create their new UTxO state, and then bridge back whatever value or state needed to the L1. Thoughts? @BeRewt @ItsDave_ADA @eryxcoop

What matters long term is not short-term market sentiment, but whether an ecosystem continues to build meaningful infrastructure and attract real adoption. Cardano today has: Decentralized Governance operating at scale through CIP-1694 and on-chain voting One of the strongest open-source communities in the industry, with contributors building across research, protocol development, tooling, and applications worldwide Institutional Transparency anchored directly on-chain, where governance actions, treasury activity, and ecosystem operations are publicly verifiable Growing DeFi initiatives including Bifrost by Fluid Tokens Pogun by IOG Sundial Protocol Charms BTC Karma Expanding RWA and digital identity infrastructure through projects like Veridian and tokenization initiatives across multiple regions Global public/private sector collaborations spanning education, telecommunications, digital identity, and blockchain infrastructure Examples of transparent on-chain activity already visible today include: DRep registrations and governance actions Treasury withdrawals and constitutional committee activity Ecosystem and partner network activity Native asset issuance and RWA directly on London Stock Exchange 20.000 farmers in India combining satellite data, identity, education and industry Everything verifiable. Everything auditable. Built in public. The work continues.

Anyone else feel like things are getting weird out here? Anyway, Cardano is fine. Our magic Internet money sucks right now, but we'll be alright. Just HODL and stand for something, otherwise you'll fall for anything.

An explicit abstain directly lowers the threshold for that proposal to pass while removing the potential for suspicion/appearance of conflict of interest and self-promotion, it is the right practice. Similarly, if DReps are NOT going to vote on each proposal, they should abstain rather than be a "no" by default.

I've had this idea for a while, but seeing the DRep concentration risk enter the public discourse again recently finally motivated me to do something about it. There are certain DReps who obtained their delegation through "soft-coersion". They achieved much of their delegation because many people chose the default option, thought that they would be locked out of their wallet if they didn't, or because the ability to delegate to anyone else was made awkward or difficult. Currently @YoroiWallet is what I consider to be the biggest offender, and they've had over a year since governance launched to correct this, so it's clearly not a priority for them. So I built Antitrust, a small library of react components that use publicly available APIs; The goal is to allow drop-in to any dApp, and when it detects you're delegated to one of these soft-coerced DReps, it provides a gentle prompt to the user to let them know it's ok to delegate elsewhere, and helping them do so if they choose. github.com/SundaeSwap-financ… It's not production ready, and represents a supply chain risk so I won't publish it to NPM. But I wanted to get the idea out there as inspiration and as a warning. If you're building a dApp, feel free to use this as inspiration, or fork it so you control the supply chain. If @YoroiWallet makes it easier to browse and delegate to other users, and provides a 1-time prompt to existing users explaining that nothing about Yoroi requires them to delegate to the Yoroi or Emurgo DReps, I will delete this repo, or at least remove them from the list of soft-coersion DReps.
Small mix-up with 2 ETERNLs in the tweet below. This is the correct breakdown

Precisely, for better or worse, the conversations unfold here on X and the perspective of humanity is lost. Everyone reads the counter arguments in the worst possible tone of voice and the positive ones in the best. The illusion becomes real

In the upcoming v2.1 release, Eternl can create governance proposals directly in the wallet, create and pin metadata, sign them as the author, and submit them on-chain in minutes. We put that to good use and published our own Treasury Withdrawal proposal for this year's budget cycle, it's called "Eternl: Path to Sustainability (2026-2027)". A lot has been going on behind the scenes. A complete rewrite of our very core library, removing dependencies and adding more flexibility for future feature additions. Version 2.1 will also add the long-planned Pro Mode, which is an integral part of our efforts to become self-sustainable even under current market conditions. We will cover more soon and are happy to answer any questions that come up. The proposal includes an FAQ section to start. Thanks in advance to everyone voting on the proposal and giving feedback. adastat.net/governances/9a02…

People massively underestimate demand for non margin loans. The pawn market alone is ~$40B despite terrible infrastructure and high costs. What most people in DeFi miss: Borrowers care more about lower payments than max LTVs. By offering lower LTVs, borrowers can negotiate lower interest rates while avoiding liquidation risk entirely. As Rusty Shapiro (@__fallen_icarus) explains, DeFi solved leveraged trading, not lending. Read the blog ↓ iog.io/news/non-margin-defi-…
