People underestimate the mental challenge on game day... The sporting brain works in milliseconds and is sending thoughts, emotions, and feelings into our conscious awareness as we play... Have a listen to my thoughts on game day mindset below (talking on @FCBullard) with @jimmybullard and @fennerstweets Have a watch of the show here: bit.ly/3MbLu5X

The GPP you use in your first year of training should not resemble the GPP you use in your tenth year of training. Over time you accumulate training volume, skills, outputs, and other abilities. Going back to do the same drawn out, general phase of training you did when you were less trained and less capable is simply a waste of time and effort. With time, the intensity and quality of your training needs to be the priority. If you’re not training for quality, what are you trying to achieve? Use the GPP to reestablish intensity, volume, speed, etc after a break from training. Once reestablished, it’s time to get to work on the specific qualities you need to be successful. You only have so many sessions. Make them count! #sprinting #sprints #speed #speedtraining #periodization #training

The better you are at something, the harder you have to work to improve. Not in the form of physical effort, but rather you need attention to detail, discipline and focus to make further progress toward your goals. Anyone can do another rep. Not everyone can do a rep better.

Huge credit to the officials at the recent Leinster Championships in SETU running the sprints with the wind. Last night at the UCD Open meet, the volunteers and officials were brilliant in making sure the same happened. It has been the trend in a number of other meetings...1/2

She worked hard for this one. What a year of growth! Very proud coach right here. Our second First Team All-American in my four years here and ULM’s first female one in about 30ish years or so. That’s BIG

🗣️”What you have to do is understand the rhythm. What I want to tell everyone is please stop coaching from computers! The guy's start is fine, he’s running fast. Everyone told me if you fix your start you’ll run faster, but I won every meet. So why don’t they fix their finish? The guy is phenomenal. Stop coaching from computers and just celebrate a young guy who’s going to be great.” Houston Head Coach Carl Lewis gives praise to Louie Hinchliffe after his amazing NCAA 100m Dash win in 9.95 seconds. Lewis also has a few choice words for everyone online 👀 🎥FULL INTERVIEW: youtu.be/7en3To0HnCg?si=Si5c…
