UPDATE: @Semafor believes 2014 & 2018 come after 2021! They refused to correct inaccuracies despite seeing attacks Tehran lodged @CrisisGroup prior to 2021. Presumably, these attacks donā€™t fit their narrativeā€¦or perhaps Tehran calling @AliVaez a CIA agent isnā€™t an ā€œattackā€!

It took us roughly 5 minutes on Google to debunk claims like thesešŸ‘‡šŸ½ from both Semafor & Iran International. In 2014, when the nuclear negotiations were underway & IPIS had new leadership, many more institutions - Western & otherwise - formally engaged IPIS. Again, no correction

9/ Given that our staff have been held hostage, threatened, charged, expelled, refused entry and hacked in different places, MoUs also help protect staff in countries that are hard to access and work in.
