So she was first author on his key paper - in fact she's on most of his key papers, yet she didn't get the Nobel Prize, in spite of the fact they could have given 3 awards, not just 2. Explain to me how STEM is not institutionally sexist.
Congratulations to our 2024 medicine laureate Victor Ambros ✨ This morning he celebrated the news of his prize with his colleague and wife Rosalind Lee, who was also the first author on the 1993 'Cell' paper cited by the Nobel Committee. #NobelPrize

It is Postdoc Appreciation Week! Recently, 1. @ElliotWChan has done a great job presenting ML/MM simulations with EMLE electrostatic embedding at the @CCPBioSim and #CMS2024 @UniofWarick conferences, when I couldn't attend. (github.com/chemle/emle-engin…) #PostdocAppreciationWeek

It's been a busy couple of months, feeling very grateful to have been able to present our work at both the 10th Annual CCPBioSim conference earlier this summer and the Computational Molecular Sciences conference this week! You can find out more here: github.com/chemle/emle-engin…

Starting off 2024 with exciting news that we have an open experimental PDRA position in our lab funded by my #UKRIFLF pyne-lab.uk/pdra-experimenta…. We are looking for someone excited by what we do, not with specific skills - see the thread below for what we think we can offer you!

My first week as an official #UKRIFLF and I couldn't be more excited to say that I have 3 open positions for people to come and join us! I know that everyone is looking for great postdocs at the moment, so here's a little on who we're looking for and what I think we can offer

I designed an outreach activity to teach people about DNA structure and supercoiling using the medium of friendship bracelets! It went down really well, so thought I'd share the instructions for anyone interested. DM if you want the word version or any other details.

Really interesting seminar this afternoon by @RuedaLab about the effects of DNA supercoiling on Cas9 specificity! Nice to know I've not completely forgotten everything from my PhD already 🧬
