I’ve spent much of this year learning about car bloat, the process through which smaller vehicles are being replaced by increasingly massive SUVs and trucks.

Producing new cars increases the cost of used cars. All new cars should cost the same as used cars.
And new cars today look so tacky, they need to look like my 1971 Buick Riviera so they don't change the character of the road.

2007 = bollards installed
2009 = drivers have hit some
2011 = bollards almost gone
2014 = city installs concrete

Building housing is not gentrification. It's a way to house the unhoused, and it brings rents down across the city. We need to solve the supply shortage if we have any hope of making cities more affordable.

Instead of 915 housing units of which half were affordable, this mixed use project in Harlem was denied by Councilwoman @Kristin4Harlem for fears of gentrification. It will now become a “truck stop for big rigs” in a neighborhood with some of the worst asthma rates in the city.
