16 August 2025, sadly it has been announced that Flt Lt John Alexander Cruikshank V.C formerly RAF Coastal Command has died aged 105.
He was the oldest and only remaining Second World War, RAF recipient of the Victoria Cross.
His courage, fortitude and legacy will forever be remembered.
Rest in Peace Flt Lt John Cruickshank, VC, Blue Skies and fair winds on your final sortie.
