Deciphering the Genomic Landscape of Renal Cell Carcinoma Brain Metastases

Key findings:
🧠RCC brain metastases harbor distinct copy-number alterations (CNAs) compared with primary tumors.
🧬Recurrent alterations involving 8p loss, 8q gain, and 9p21.3 deletionwere enriched in brain metastases across all cancers.
📈These CNA patterns were associated with worse survival and may contribute to brain metastatic progression.
🤖Using genomic features, we developed a machine learning model that identified patients at increased risk of mortality/brain metastasis.
