First Solar CEO Mark Widmar met with Utah @GovCox at the Energy Imperatives Summit in Washington, D.C. this week.
Utah is home to @RioTinto's Kennecott mine and the only tellurium processing facility in the United States. Tellurium is the foundation of First Solar’s cadmium telluride thin film technology. Kennecott is an important part of the domestic supply chain that keeps our modules genuinely American-made.
Governor Cox understands what’s at stake. So does Utah.

This morning, I joined @RepScottPeters & @ChrisBarnardDL at the Energy Imperatives Summit for a bicameral, bipartisan chat on the dangers our nation will face in the coming years if we do not fix our permitting process.
The only long-term solution to rising energy costs is for America to build again.
