Israel firmly rejects the disgraceful measures adopted by foreign governments against Israeli citizens, entities, and a government minister. The real essence of these steps is the attempt to impose a political stance regarding the right of Jews to live in the Land of Israel and concerning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict - camouflaged as measures against violence. What these governments have in common is their resounding failure to combat the antisemitism that is rampant in their own countries. Anti-Israeli policies of the kind adopted today only serve to fuel that antisemitism. Millions of Israelis have been forced into bomb shelters as the Iranian terror regime attacks Israel directly and through its terrorist proxies - Hezbollah in Lebanon and Houthis in Yemen. These are civilians, families, children and elderly, trying to get through their day under the threat of missile attacks.

Statement by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, this evening: "A year ago, we launched a historic preemptive strike against Iran’s intention to destroy us with atomic bombs. We thwarted this immediate threat – and we also eliminated the tyrant Khamenei. If we had not acted in time and with overwhelming force – we would not be here today. And I pledge again: Iran will not have nuclear weapons. With that same determination, we acted against Hezbollah as well. Hezbollah planned to invade the Galilee with thousands of terrorists, and at the same time, it planned to devastate Israel’s cities with 150,000 missiles and rockets. We thwarted this threat as well – and we eliminated Nasrallah. And I would like to tell you: our heroic fighters are tearing Hezbollah to pieces. We continue to destroy all of their terror infrastructure in the security zone, including massive underground facilities in the Beaufort Ridge. Iran’s terror proxy, Hezbollah, has spent months attacking civilians along Israel’s northern border. But Israelis are resilient. They will recover, they will flourish, and Israel will ensure its citizens are safe to live their lives.

Today's terror attack, later praised by Hamas, was not an isolated incident. Since March, more than 1,000 terror attacks have been thwarted and 16 attacks have been carried out against Israelis. Behind every statistic is a deliberate attempt to murder innocent people. The threat is constant. So is Israel's determination to defeat it.

The flotilla attempting to breach the naval blockade on Gaza has concluded, and all individuals aboard have been safely transferred to Israeli vessels. The passengers are being brought to Israel, where they will be able to meet with their respective consular representatives. This video released during the transfer shows activists from the flotilla hugging aboard the Israeli vessels. At this stage, no humanitarian aid has reportedly been identified on the boats. Israel will continue to enforce the naval blockade in accordance with international law and its ongoing security obligations, while facilitating the appropriate legal and consular processes for those involved.

Another PR flotilla has come to an end. All 430 activists have been transferred to Israeli vessels and are making their way to Israel, where they will be able to meet with their consular representatives. This flotilla has once again proved to be nothing more than a PR stunt at the service of Hamas. Israel will continue to act in full accordance with international law and will not permit any breach of the lawful naval blockade on Gaza.

When terrorists are promoted to the leadership of the Palestinian Authority’s ruling party, the message is unmistakable: terror is being legitimized and rewarded. Yesterday, three declared terrorists were elected to Fatah’s highest institution, its Central Committee: • Marwan Barghouti, convicted terrorist serving multiple life sentences - topped the list from prison. • Zakaria Zubeidi, former terrorist commander responsible for deadly attacks - was elected as a member. • Taysir al-Bardini, another murderer, was also elected. And yes, incentivizing terrorists with Pay-for-Slay salaries will continue.
