This is FANTASTIC really powerful and gives clear guidance that can be implemented from the get go. Far reaching implications for all healthcare and medical disciplines & coproduction is gold @carrie_biddle @RCHTWeCare @CornwallFT @NMAHPVision @NHS_HealthEdEng @NHS_HealthEdEng
Part of our new pathway for people who choose care outside of guidelines was to create an infographic showing sentences clinicians use and alternatives by service users. Co-produced with ⁦@KernowMVP⁩ ⁦@RCHTQIHub⁩ ⁦@rchtmaternity⁩ ⁦⁦@cornwalllmns⁩

Imagine a module focusing on race, colonialism & ableism on a Speech & Language therapy course? I'm so tempted to develop one

I just learned that the Māori word for autism is takiwatanga, ‘in his/her own time and space’. It’s such an empathic and gentle way to describe the condition I’m trying to come to terms with.

Honoured to be involved in this incredible colab in the quest to treat #longcovid and #MECFS 🧵👇🏽 Today we detected microthrombi which we hope will help stop the medical gaslighting occurring in those with post viral conditions so treatments can be pursued /1 @DDPActual
Auckland, NZ today. Blood of my friend & fellow longhauler @DDPActual. Microthrombi demonstrated by the amazing @DrAnnaNZ under fluorescence microscopy. Great work both! Shared with permission.

People with a learning disability and autistic people tell us they are easy to ignore rather than hard to reach
Q1: Why does the phrase “hard to reach” get used to describe people from inclusion health groups? #StartWithPeople

Thanks @JessJohnsonSLT It has been an absolute pleasure supporting you on the last step of your journey. Practice education is always an honour, so important that we get it right for everyone in all circumstances @carrie_biddle @JenniferL_SLT @rcslt @RCSLTLearn @NHS_HealthEdEng
Yesterday I found out that I've finally passed my SLT course with a 2.1! It took me 6 years but I got there 😊 As most of you know, it's a pretty difficult course without a disability or death of a parent, so I am incredibly proud of myself. A few huge thank yous:
