Privileged to have worked with the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD), the Kenya Space Agency, and the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) to host the Global Data Festival and Kenya Space Expo & Conference in Nairobi.

This convening comes at a critical moment.
With only four years left to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals, the question before us is no longer whether data matters. It is whether countries can finance, govern, protect, and use data systems at the scale required to deliver for people.
In my remarks, I pointed to three priorities that must guide this work.
National data systems remain underfunded, even though every serious development decision depends on trusted, timely, and usable data.
No country can build the data and space infrastructure required for the age of intelligence on its own. Governments, the private sector, academia, civil society, development partners, and local communities must work together.
๐ง๐ต๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฑ, ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ถ๐บ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฏ๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฝ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ that can secure data and digital sovereignty, while using data, digital infrastructure, and space technologies to deliver the Global Goals.
