Fossil fuel lobbyists have spent billions to convince us that serious #ClimateAction is too expensive or too inconvenient. But the droughts, floods & fires are all around us. And they are massively expensive, inconvenient, heartbreakingly fatal. #ClimateEmergency #ClimateJustice

Complex issue for sure! I appreciate being part of a team where each member of the council can vote for their conscience! Appreciate your stance and great questions!
I voted in favour of the letter based on the information and experience I have; however, it’s a complex issue, and I recognize there is a lot I don’t know. I would be interested in exploring a holistic approach - a Community Safety and Well-Being Plan e.g. ottawa.ca/en/family-and-soci…

Just shared this, but apparently it needs to be shared again There are many groups spreading outright misinformation and lies. If you have concerns or questions about what happened. I) watch the recording. II) reach out and ask (kyacucha@langford.ca) #truth #criticalthinking
The “Playbook.” Seem familiar to you? (I’m a little worried I might be giving bad people ideas who haven’t thought of this yet... but I think it’s more important that EVERYONE UNDERSTAND THIS IS HAPPENING A LOT, & not be fooled by it. So please spread the word.)

Media in particular, please read this. The tactic around manufactured controversy and manipulation is often the REAL story.

Throughout history, streets were shared by people walking, riding, and driving alike. Today, streets prioritize cars at the expense of every other form of transportation. We need to rebuild streets that are dominated by people and accommodate cars—not the other way around.

Nothing to see here folks, just the planet doing super normal stuff.
I think we may have a new winner. Garfield Bight in very shallow water in Everglades Nat'l Park, SW corner of Miami-Dade county just hit 98.1F for two hours straight. Head scratching hot water over South Florida! Shallow water heats fast but this is a whole new level.
