When the BBC spotted this was a problem a few years back, you decided to set up something called the "Trusted News Initiative". If you'd genuinely wanted to solve the problem, you'd have created a "Truthful News Initiative". Because the reason people stopped trusting mainstream news is because we've realised it's full of outright lies and propaganda, lying by omission, misleading by emphasising certain stories and neglecting others, misuse of statistics, lack of perspective, presenting issues without proper balance and presenting opinions as news. In short, people have realised that mainstream news is, for the most part, just Establishment propaganda. You tell us what opinions we should have, and leave us to figure out what events have actually happened. When what we really want is for you to tell us the bare facts about what happened, and leave us to decide what our opinions are.

Some of those women gave everything so you could sit in that chair, and you repay them by rewriting and erasing their stories, to give cover for genocide. Absolutely pathetic.
The Lady Chief Justice: Palestine Action was not a direct action civil disobedience protest group like the suffragettes, but used violence to destroy property The suffragettes burned down country houses & train stations, bombed churches & sent letter bombs to politicians.

In upholding the proscription of Palestine Action, Lady Chief Justice Baroness Carr showed she was historically illiterate. Contrary to her claims, the Sufragettes were neither a peaceful civil disobedience group nor did they operate "transparently in the open". Their hundreds of bombing and arson attacks are known to have injured at least two dozen people, many of them postal workers, left with severe burns. Their bomb and arson squads organised this violence through underground cells. Leaders were kept in a network of safe houses to avoid discovery by police. And leader Emmeline Pankhurst used body doubles and assumed names to evade police capture. There's even a 2015 Hollywood movie, Sufragette, showing all this. This sudden level of ignorance by our political and judicial class is entirely manufactured. The Sufragette movement was far, far more violent and clandestine than anything Palestine Action has been doing. That's not an argument against the Suffragettes. It's argument exposing the utter hypocrisy of the politicians, judges and media peddling lies to justify crushing an organisation trying to expose UK government complicity in Israel's genocide.

It's pretty disgraceful that there has been absolutely no mention of this from the Prime Minister. It's increasingly clear that some attacks, correctly, warrant disgust, emergency measures and days of media coverage. Others seem to be met with silence.
Greater Manchester Police have issued an appeal for information after a suspected arson attack on the home of an Imam in Bolton last night. Footage shows a masked man throwing a lit object through a front window. The Patel family were safely evacuated by emergency services and no one was injured. Police said they believe the incident was targeted and are investigating. In a statement, Hassan Patel said the attack has caused "significant damage to our house and emotional distress to our family, including our children.”

These are the errors made by the sentencing judge Johnson J in the sentencing of the Filton 4 his interpretation of the relevant subsections of section 69 were erroneous as there has been no finding of evidence of terrorism as required , the judge made that finding unilaterally see below : Standard and procedure for making the finding i) statutory/legislative materials and parliamentary debates show the determination that an offence has a terrorist connection is a significant factual finding and, where not admitted, must be robustly established (the post‑2021 regime tightened procedural safeguards). If the court made the s.69 determination at sentencing without an admission or without having the issue properly tried/decided to the requisite standard, that may be procedurally challengeable. (See legislative materials on the amended regime and guidance). (hansard.parliament.uk) ii) “Intimidate a section of the public” — evidential threshold The Terrorism Act wording requires that the act be “designed” to influence or intimidate. A judge’s finding that the action “was designed to influence” must be supported by evidence of design/intent and (for intimidation) some capacity or aim to cause fear in a section of the public. If the conduct was targeted at property and protest audiences, there is an arguable gap between political persuasion and the statutory concept of intimidating a section of the public. That factual distinction is a common ground for appeal. (assets.publishing.service.go…) This awful decision no doubt will be heard in the Court of Appeal and the appeal refused thus an appeal will need to be made to the Supreme Court. The judge knowingly made an erroneous decision , due process is dead. #freethefilton4 #justiceforthefilton4

The Filton 4 ruling signals a direct breach of core principles of UK justice juries decide facts, judges sentence only on what juries actually convicted. This judgment breaks that line and that’s why so many lawyers are calling it a constitutional threat. What this moment means for justice in the UK Across every major legal source reporting today, the same pattern emerges this is unprecedented, constitutionally dangerous, and signals a shift toward an authoritarian model of criminal justice. A judge has overridden the jury the foundation of British justice Multiple reports confirm that two juries refused to convict the activists of any terrorism related or violent offences, yet Justice Jeremy Johnson has ruled they will be sentenced as terrorists anyway. This is exactly what senior lawyers describe as “recategorising the offence without a trial” a direct violation of the principle that you cannot be punished for an offence you were never charged with and never convicted of. 🤔🌎☮️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚖️ No time to waste independence now

I spent all day in Woolwich Crown Court yesterday for the Filton activists' sentencing hearing with my colleague @daniaakkad. The court heard that the Terrorism Act was never intended to cover direct action protest. It heard that all of the defendants had been cleared of violent intent and sentencing them as terrorists would mark a historic first for charges of criminal damage. It heard that the Suffragettes, who did "a bit of smashing themselves", would have been labelled as terrorists but have now been vindicated by history. It heard the activists' goal was to stop the supply chain of drones and weaponry to Israel as it commits genocide in Gaza. It heard that attaching a terrorism connection to a case without it ever being heard by a jury was unconstitutional and posed a threat to the criminal justice system itself. It heard that the "terrorism connection" has been disproportionately used against minority groups and those advocating for them while not being used for neo-Nazis and white supremacists, including the man who killed Jo Cox MP. It heard that the law has been reinterpreted since the action took place, meaning the activists could have had no idea that what they did could have been caught up in terrorism laws at the time of the protest. It heard that the prosecution submitted key evidence just eight days before the hearing, giving the defence no time to review it or even discuss it with their clients. Despite all of this, Judge Jeremy Johnson, who has already tried to refer the defence's lead barrister for contempt of court and been forced to apologise for it, sentenced the defendants as terrorists. The judgment was handed down within minutes, indicating Judge Johnson had already made his mind up before the hearing had begun. Being in court yesterday felt akin to witnessing a colonial crime: punishing activists with terrorism offences in order to set a precedent that taking direct action to stop a UK-backed genocide will not be tolerated.

In Nazi Germany in November 1938, Hitler’s party mobilised their thugs to attack Jewish homes, businesses, synagogues. It became known as Kristallnacht (Night of Broken Glass). Seems that we are now facing Faragenacht. Same hatred, same terrorism, same criminality. #Faragenacht

This man is a threat to our democracy. He backs violence and extremism. Blaming a group of people for the awful actions of an individual leads us to a very dark place. Musk, Lowe, Farage, Robinson - these men don't give a shit about this country, they want to rip us apart.
Murderous migrants beheading innocent people in their home town is what’s making people angry, not “social media”!
