Experiencing the pulse of the city , yet again , through its Metro - efficient, accessible and connecting millions every day. In my recent travels, I have found it to be the most efficient way to navigate our city while contributing to a sustainable environment. I also encourage everyone to adopt public transport, carpooling, and electric vehicles wherever possible. These collective efforts, though simple, can play a significant role in strengthening our energy security and building a greener, cleaner Delhi for future generations.

While the Transport Department’s long neglect of non-motorised transport considerations has been addressed in the new MV rules, this is not a substitute for a standalone, focused Karnataka Active Mobility Bill. The BJP government had introduced the Karnataka Active Mobility Bill, 2022, with the aim of creating walkable and accessible streets. The Karnataka Active Mobility Bill is holistic and comprehensive, and it ensures guaranteed funding in municipal budgets for walking and cycling infrastructure. Investment in Active Mobility and Transit Oriented Development would help fill the last-mile connectivity gap prevalent across the city. I urge the CM and DCM to: 1. Empower BMLTA in Bengaluru to ensure proper urban transport planning. 2. ⁠Table the Active Mobility Bill which is aimed at holistically addressing the congestion problem and challenges of the last mile commute.
