The average science student pays roughly €12,000 over the course of their degree and DCU can't fork out a few quid to allow students to retain access to the contacts and conversations formed over 4 years.

As we are not recognised as workers, we have no access to sick leave, maternity leave or PRSI contributions.
The additional discriminatory barriers faced by non-EU PGRs (IRP, mandatory health insurance etc.) place further burdens on an already precarious group of people.
