Coaches can't be expected to remember the name of every revenue stream within their care.
USMNT names its World Cup roster next Tuesday. Pochettino spent his tenure grading every player in camp or contention. By next week, all of them know exactly where they stand.
Same week, my U10 wraps a 30-week club season. His coach showed up every Tuesday and Thursday. What we never got: a single written line home on what he got better at.
At the top of US soccer, evaluation is constant. At the bottom, cadence doesn't exist.

In today’s “Its Tryout Season” insanity, I just had it brought to my attention a local club here has no less than 14 of our alumni listed as their “college commitments”.
A few played for them at u8 and younger, some never did, none past u14.
Promoting your club & program is one thing, but to blatantly lie and put it in writing is incredible 😂

Parents become really upset when you point out how the actions of their child lead to the consequences administered by the very rules set and encouraged by those parents.

Feedback can feel uncomfortable, especially when emotions are involved however honest coaching is often necessary for growth.
