Grateful to have joined this year’s @Netroots_Nation conference in Philadelphia alongside @Political_Data to share California’s work in ensuring Proposition 50’s landslide victory. With a short runway and a lot on the line, we learned valuable lessons that can help organizations across the country as more states pursue similar efforts. CADEM also had the opportunity to lead a discussion on candidate recruitment. If we want to build Democratic power and win in November, we need more people stepping up to run for office at every level. Onward to the midterms!

Last week, DFA hosted the Youth Caucus @Netroots_Nation 2026—the largest gathering of progressives in America. 🇺🇸 For too long, young people were treated as a demographic to reach, not a constituency to organize. Now, DFA has chapters in all 50 states, 1B views online, and the largest youth-led pro-democracy movement in the country. We weren’t guests. We were hosts. The seat at the table isn’t given—it’s taken.

We are living in a rigged economy where working and middle-class families are being left behind. This is a moment to organize, engage, and activate our communities to push back against an authoritarian President and fight for an economy that works for everyone.

Thanks to everyone who joined our panel @Netroots_Nation. Dems spend a lot of time searching for fix to the party’s brand problem in D.C., when one answer is staring us in the face: invest in the county parties that have been organizing for years, know their communities best.

Every generation is called to build a bridge between the world they inherited and the world they hope to leave behind. This is ours. One day our children will ask what we did when the future of this country was on the line. Let the answer be this: We chose courage over cynicism. Action over apathy. Hope over fear. We built something better. The future is not something we inherit. The future is something we build.

Today at @Netroots_Nation, I joined @RepBeccaB and @taxgreed to talk about why billionaires need to pay their fair share. So of course after our panel, we had share one simple message: tax the rich.

I had a great conversation at the Netroots Nation Fireside Chat (@netroots_nation) with Rep. Justin J. Pearson (@justinjpearson) and Elizabeth Booker Houston (@booker_squared) about the fight for fair representation, protecting voting rights, and Black political power As Republicans continue using gerrymandering to silence communities and dilute our voices, we must remain committed to ensuring voters choose their representatives—not the other way around.

Today at @Netroots_Nation, @RepMaxwellFrost and I joined @taxgreed and top advocates for a discussion on the need for billionaires to pay their fair share in our country. We know that financial power turns into political power - it’s time to level the playing field.

Our @ENPancotti joined @ddayen, Rep. @emmagreenman, @NicORourkePHL, & @RepRabb to present at this year's @Netroots_Nation! They showed how unchecked corporate power is pushing our communities into an affordability crisis, & the real solutions available to elected officials.

I was honored to speak today at the annual @netroots_nation convention in Philly about the progress Governor Shapiro and I have made across this Commonwealth — but there’s still more to accomplish.  The stakes of these midterm elections couldn’t be higher, and I’ll be on the frontlines every day fighting for Pennsylvanians. We have a responsibility to show up and to fight for one another. I challenge you to join me in sending a message to the nation this November.

At a time of growing attacks on our democracy, people power matters more than ever. Every major change in American history was driven by ordinary people organizing and demanding action. Grateful to speak at @Netroots_Nation about fighting for a democracy that works for all.
