You know that feeling that you feel when you feel like an insufficient person at even the hobbies you love? It eats away at me that I have so little to cherish in terms of tornadoes this year; even structure. Just because I can’t travel all the way to the Midwest.

Chasers – I'm looking for more information about other tornadoes that may have produced brief sonic booms during instantaneous suction vortex breakdown. Anyone else ever experienced something like this?

People complaining about ticks and saying they were artificially introduced fail to realize prevention measures have been cut, prairies bulldozed, and tons of forests haven’t seen low temperature fires in decades… All of which encourage high tick populations..!

No, it doesn’t take a billionaire to airdrop ticks. This is exactly what biodiversity collapse does; no more reptiles, birds, and amphibians to help control populations. When you destroy what was a balanced ecosystem; it rapidly becomes unbalanced and unbearable

With the recent Midwest outbreak, please remember farmers most likely just plowed/tilled their cropland for fall harvest. Making soil loose and easily moved; also exaggerating ā€œground-scouringā€, which could actually be mud transported from fresh fields!

On a serious note, my heart goes out to the people of Streator, Hobart, and more who were affected yesterday. I can joke, but I’m ready to donate and assist Hobart, where an amazing friend of mine does live!

Quick edit showing some of the intense moments today while documenting 8 tornadoes in northern Illinois into Indiana. Massive shoutout to @skydrama for nailing the forecast in the warm sector. Hands down the craziest tornado outbreak I've ever documented. Full video will be released in the near future on the @thestormreel YouTube page. #ilwx #inwx #tornado #outbreak

It’s always these low LCL days that squeeze in the right thermos after rapid atmospheric recovery Of course there’s probably some confirmation bias there, in addition to rapid recovery just generally being a great sign!

When I’m back in Chicago I feel it
I am not too sure what the outcome of this would be but let’s pray that doesn’t happen.

Our models suck, and as a result so do the forecasts. Clearly the lack of upper air data across the country is affecting model output. This is no excuse for some of the more egregious forecasts this year, but it certainly grants some leeway. All I have to say is yikes
