Education time! The spazashop economy contributes 5.6% to the GDP, mining sector which contributes 5.8%. The spazashop economy is twice the size of Agricultural which is 2.9%. The spazashop sector employment stands at 2.6 million compared the less than 500 000 by the mining!

SAD NEWS: Yesterday afternoon, bandits attacked Golgoro community in Sukuntuni ward of Kankia LGA, Katsina State, killing 10 people and leaving several others injured.
In a separate incident along the Na’alma axis in Malumfashi LGA of the same state, members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) were ambushed while on a routine supply trip. One operative was killed and another injured, despite a peace agreement reportedly reached between LGA stakeholders and bandits less than two weeks earlier.
If repeated attacks continue even after negotiations and security interventions, does this point to a deeper failure of strategy? And what fundamental changes are needed to actually protect vulnerable communities?
