The worst part about anti-boomer sentiment is that when you believe that you "deserve" a certain quality of life, it poisons you. It makes you feeble and inept, because you clutch at an idea of revenge and bitterness instead of working with what you have, and seeking avenues to your own prosperity. If you look at history, you'll see that prosperity comes and goes, and each era is brief and flickering, to be replaced by another. And if you were to really examine this, you'd see that you live in one of the richest, most prosperous time in existence, surrounded by the rich magic of miraculous technologies and conveniences that kings of the past would have killed armies for.
What did you do to, to deserve access to Doordash, and the Internet, and movies on demand, and the comfort of refrigeration, A/C, and the ability to hop onto a plane and go wherever you want in the world within hours? Why did you deserve this, when millions before you had to grind out flour and starve on dandelions and die of scarlet fever surrounded by the blank darkness of untamed wilderness, no satellites to blink out in between the stars? Fucking nothing. You didn't do a goddamn thing.
Yeah, some things are more expensive. Jobs are more difficult to come by. Food prices have skyrocketed. So what are you going to do about it? Because that old world is never coming back, no matter how much you complain.
