This is such a travesty. I think if you worked at Synapse, or were an investor, you have a moral obligation to do everything you can to make it right. You should be spending nights & weekends working with the trustee until every person has received every single dollar back.

The Synapse bankruptcy docket has a new entry apart from the status report: an end user collected impact statements from 99 users, mostly of Yotta & Juno, and they are heart breaking.
Users who are trying to escape abusive relationships, are worried about being able to pay for healthcare, laid off & can't access their emergency savings, can't pay their other debts and seeing their credit history/scores negatively impacted, or have had to cash out 401ks.
In the most extreme stories, users report resorting to selling plasma or bone marrow to make rent, being evicted and having vehicles repossessed, and even considering suicide.

During this whole Synapse debacle, one thing I have not heard mentioned is the OCC Fintech Charter proposed in 2016/17. Finally, I heard @regulatorynerd talk about this on the latest Breaking Banks podcast. It could have been a real benefit to have that in place.
