Yesterday @TheRohanVarma started a thread about something “special” coming. Months in the work. Excitement above anything else. Usual highly hyped vague posting from the labs. He even deleted it as he felt he was disclosing some major secret. Today Codex announced what? Lovable?

Building apps has never been easier. With Sites, Codex can turn your work, ideas, and plans into an interactive website or app your team can explore, use, and share with a URL. Rolling out to Business and Enterprise plans, before expanding more broadly.

Imagine how dumb you can be to think that a couple of geeks own a real Cezanne in the office instead of a Samsung TV with a screensaver.

.@giansegato if AI is so powerful, why do you focus on enhancing it to work on white collar tasks instead of let’s say cure cancer? It’s just greed, you increase Anthropic revenue, you employees become richer and you couldn’t care less about people losing their jobs.

You can’t make this stuff up
Nothing humbles you like telling your OpenClaw “confirm before acting” and watching it speedrun deleting your inbox. I couldn’t stop it from my phone. I had to RUN to my Mac mini like I was defusing a bomb.

This is how fake Sarah Guo is. Lotus 123 was launched in 1983 and people stopped using it in early 90 when excel launched. She was born in 1989 and claims to have implemented it as an intern. So even late 90s, she would have been 10yo. LPs and founders just beware.

OpenAI: Will never do ads OpenAI:
Jan 16
In the coming weeks, we plan to start testing ads in ChatGPT free and Go tiers. We’re sharing our principles early on how we’ll approach ads–guided by putting user trust and transparency first as we work to make AI accessible to everyone. What matters most: - Responses in ChatGPT will not be influenced by ads. - Ads are always separate and clearly labeled. - Your conversations are private from advertisers. - Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise tiers will not have ads.

If a role like this is not replaced by someone like the head of research at OpenAI, why do they keep saying AI will destroy the job market?

Can’t believe we let weirdos like this work on the most generational technology of humanity. They should be banned from it

Car costs $200k (it doesn’t) Car makes $187k/year VC: they will be profitable soon (without accounting for all the overhead) VCs just have no clue about unit economic
9 Dec 2025
Assuming average fare of $20 (from SF numbers), the average Waymo does $187k of revenue a year (~25 rides per day) Car cost today is probably. ~$200k but next gen should be <$100k At today’s prices it will be very profitable, though competition should drive prices down.

We're being compared to cloud storage solutions and we're actually an AI system for HR teams Maybe instead of doing it by company name, introducing a company URL, scraping that URL, and prompting AI in a way it understands what we do? Or we might need to change the name

Pretty amusing. Sama was mocking people going to meta talking about mission and then OpenAI turns into Meta 😂
As OpenAI grows, employees are getting concerned that it's starting to look too much like the social media giant Meta. Details incl: - a metafication survey - internal reactions to sora - the rise of ads w/ the dream team @KalleyHuang @erinkwoo theinformation.com/articles/…

Top VCs pouring money into Langchain proves that’s) they are still clueless about AI b) they never try the products they invest in

We raised $125M to build the platform for agent engineering. Thank you to our investors (@IVP, @sequoia, @benchmark, @AmplifyPartners, @SapphireVC, @CapitalG, and more) for their belief in us, and to our customers like @Replit, @clay, @TrustVanta, @Cloudflare, @Rippling, @Cisco, @Workday, and many more for their trust. Read more here about what this means for the future of building agents: blog.langchain.com/series-b/…

We should make a @nikitabrags account like we have ⁦@VCBrags⁩ Every other day he posts about the day some random graph goes up (and the day after goes down)

we love launching the big stuff, but great products also rely on all of the small stuff. kudos to alex on the design team for design-plementing this (implementing and designing this at the same time! powered by claude code, ofc.)

Who are these moron LPs that invested $400M in a guy that tell you to put the same amount of money on each company independently of the valuation? He doesn’t even understand the basics 🤦‍♀️
My single biggest advice to angel investors starting today: Always write the same size check. You do not know which are your winners You will always regret not having more in your winners and you will always regret not having less in your losers. Always the same.

So the main achievement by @AravSrinivas in his pursuit to destroy Google is to give judges a reason to make them survive and flourish. Really the king 😂
