As of 11:00 AM CDT Mon Sep 14 the center of Sally was located near 28.6, -86.9 with movement WNW at 6 mph. The minimum central pressure was 985 mb with maximum sustained winds of about 85 mph.

#Sally is expected to move slowly over the next several days. Life-threatening flash flooding and river flooding is likely over portions of the central Gulf Coast from the western Florida panhandle to southeastern Louisiana. @NWSWPC forecasts 8-16” of rain, isolated areas to 24”.

NWS- Tropical Storm #Sally is forecast to make landfall as a category 2 hurricane over southeast Louisiana early Tuesday morning. The storm will slowly move across the area bringing a threat for heavy rainfall and flash flooding.
