Today, I convened a meeting at the White House alongside @SecretaryBurgum with @PGE4Me and the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District to begin constructive negotiations on the future of the Potter Valley Project — and to take this fight off social media and get it resolved. Our hope is clear: keep the Scott and Cape Horn Dams in place and working for the communities they serve. For over 100 years, these dams have provided clean hydropower and reliable water to farmers, families, and ecosystems across the Eel and Russian River basins. We want to protect the dams and support the many farmers that rely on this infrastructure. The Trump Administration is focused on real solutions to preserve these dams and keep CA farms and rural communities thriving. More to come!

A fifth-generation Arizona rancher started getting calls from a Danish solar company wanting access through his locked gates. He thought they found him by chance. They didn't. Local officials invited them. 🧵

Recently, I joined influential women from across America at the Inaugural CPAC Women’s Warrior Summit to discuss shared priorities in driving forward faith, family, freedom, education, food policy, and the future of this great nation. The event was meaningful; the speakers were powerful; but the work begins back at home. Because real cultural change doesn't begin in a committee hearing or through a political campaign. It begins around the dinner table. It begins when families gather for a meal, share stories, pass down values, and build the relationships that strengthen communities and shape future generations. That's why I believe so strongly in Bid On Beef. We're doing more than selling steaks. We're reconnecting consumers with the ranching families who raise their food. We're building relationships between rural and urban America. We're supporting family farms and ranches. And we're helping families create meaningful moments together while gathered around the table. When we strengthen families, we strengthen communities. When we strengthen communities, we strengthen our nation. And when Americans understand the people behind their food, we build the foundation for smarter food policy and a stronger agricultural future. So meet your rancher. Fill your freezer. Gather your family. And let's get to work to create a powerful culture shift as America celebrates 250 years. The movement starts at the dinner table, and as a wife and mother of four, I know the big wins are created at home loving my family. So let's get to it. God bless, Amanda Radke #BidOnBeef #FaithFamilyFreedom #KnowYourRancher #SupportFamilyAgriculture #GrillingSeason

@USDA has confirmed multiple cases of New World Screwworm in Texas. We’re moving fast and smart. Last year, I rolled out a bold five-point plan to protect American livestock and stop this pest in its tracks: 1. Invest into our sterile fly production through the construction of a massive $750M sterile fly production facility at Moore Air Base. 2. Protect the U.S. border at all costs through enhanced surveillance, sterile insect dispersal, trapping, and livestock movement controls. 3. Maximize readiness by partnering with states on emergency plans, training, and securing treatments. 4. Take the fight directly to the screwworm with increased sterile fly dispersals across the U.S. - Mexico border. 5. Innovate our way to eradication through cutting-edge research, more efficient production, better traps, and next-generation tools. We’re already executing that plan on the ground: • 20-km zones with strict movement controls around both detections. • Heightened surveillance and trapping across the area. • Millions of sterile flies released weekly, 2 million aerial drops twice a week plus ground releases in the area to break the pest’s life cycle. • Strike teams, mobile labs, and emergency treatments deployed through unified command with Texas partners. Faced with the irresponsibility of both the Biden regime and too much of the Mexican one, we needed time — to prepare, to coordinate, and to ready the infrastructure to beat what was coming. We acted, and we got the time. Now the task is to turn the tide. We eradicated New World Screwworm once before, and we will do it again! President Trump has afforded me the great honor to serve in his administration as the "Special Envoy for American Landowners." In this role, I look forward to representing and advocating for landowners’ rights against any entity that chooses to harass or intimidate them in an effort to achieve goals contrary to those of the President. I look forward to defending our farmers and ranchers🇺🇸

In the fight to defend our God-given, Constitutionally-protected property rights, I can tell you this — my message to Pierre is you might have outspent us 100 to 1 in this election cycle, but farmers and ranchers don’t have quit in our bones. We aren’t going anywhere. sdpb.org/podcast/sdpb-news/2…

Landowner rights have become a growing issue across rural America. American Farmland Trust estimates the U.S. loses 2,000 acres of farm and pastureland each day. “It’s no secret that we’ve lost hundreds of thousands of acres of farm and ranch ground in this country in recent decades,” said Amanda Radke, founder of American Land & Legacy and a South Dakota rancher. “That’s due to development, urbanization. And now with the average age of the farmer and rancher pushing 60, we’re going to be at a threshold here in the next 10 years where a huge percentage of farmland is going to change hands.” farmprogress.com/farm-life/f…

I just held a national call with almost a thousand participants on the first U.S. detection of New World Screwworm in a three-week-old calf in La Pryor, Texas — where I’ll be heading next week. We are well prepared and are implementing our full Response Playbook with Texas officials as we speak: • 20-km movement control zone • Sterile fly releases underway (4 million/week ground 4 million/week aerial) • Enhanced border trapping & wildlife surveillance This hasn’t caught us off guard. The Trump Administration has been preparing since Jan 21, 2025, strengthening border protections, pushing for containment in Mexico, and updating our NWS Response Playbook. We are well prepared and are now fully implementing this response alongside Texas officials right now. Follow our new rapid response account @Screwworm_RR for LIVE updates.

This evening, I hosted a call with Texas media alongside @USDA Under Secretary Dudley Hoskins and Texas animal health officials to provide an update on the confirmed detection of New World Screwworm (NWS) in South Texas and outline our immediate response efforts. We briefed reporters on the aggressive actions we are taking right now in close partnership with state authorities to contain and eradicate the pest and reinforced the fact our food supply remains 100% safe. We are urging producers and animal owners to follow movement restrictions and treatment guidance provided by @TAHC. USDA will continue providing regular updates as we work closely with state partners, industry stakeholders, and producers to stop the spread and protect American agriculture.

🚨 Support for small meat and poultry processing plants is here! @SecRollins today launched the Small Processors Action Plan, a new set of actions designed to make it easier for these businesses to interact with USDA, get timely answers, and resolve issues, without weakening inspection or food safety standards. Additionally, we've announced $60M in funding through the Meat and Poultry Processing Expansion Program to expand American meat and poultry processing. Applications will be accepted through Aug. 7, 2026. 🔗 usda.gov/about-usda/news/pre…

Just wrapped up a virtual meeting with ~50 of our outstanding Texas cattle ranchers and @TAHC. I also have been in contact with @GregAbbott_TX, @LtGovTX, and the @Burrows4TX team. Our food supply is 100% safe. This potential New World Screworm detection is being fully contained and is not a harm to the American food supply or consumer safety. The NWS specimen has arrived at the airport in Ames, IA and is being transferred to National Veterinary Services Laboratories (NVSL). We will update as soon as we have confirmed test results. Unfortunately, the open-border policies of the last administration and the resulting illicit cattle movement throughout Mexico have caused NWS to potentially reach our side of the border. BUT, there is no one better than Texas and our live stock producers to have in this fight. All models showed NWS coming to the U.S. last summer/early fall — so a big thank you to our partners across the industry and local, state and the entire Trump administration for unprecedented action that gave us almost an extra year to prepare for this moment. Together with so many partners, including the Texas Animal Health Commission, Texas A&M AgriLife, Texas Farm Bureau, Texas Cattle Feeders and Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, we will effectively combat, contain and eventually eradicate this pest. Additional @USDA personnel have arrived in South Texas to support our partners on the ground. The National Veterinary Stockpile is ready to deploy and on its way. I now call on our producers to be vigilant and watchful. The most effective thing to do right now is to put eyes on all live stock. If you see anything suspicious, contact your state animal health official (linked on the screwworm.gov website). Texas cattle and live stock producers are the backbone of our state and our nation. We will meet this challenge head-on. Go to SCREWWORM.GOV for daily updates.

A case of NWS may have been detected in South Texas. The sample is now at USDA's National Veterinary Services Laboratories (NVSL) in Ames, lowa for confirmatory testing. We will provide updates the moment results are available. We have already activated personnel on the ground and are working with local partners. What you can expect from us is transparency, candor, and most important — action. screwworm.gov

Out in the tobacco fields of New Bern, North Carolina at David Parker Farms alongside @Sonderling47, NC Labor Commissioner Luke Farley, and NC Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler! North Carolina is America’s #1 producer of tobacco — growing roughly 60% of all the tobacco in the United States — and there’s nothing like being right here on the ground with our hard-working producers. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
