Educators and school administrators single-handedly CANCELLED SCHOOL for 700,000 North Carolina students...
...INCLUDING MY SON!!!
To wave signs around in the street instead.
The signs vary from:
a) F**K ICE!!!
b) Defeat Trump's Agenda
c) Trump is a N*ZI
d) ICE OUT!!!
e) Protect trans kids
f) Refuse fascism
g) Stop bombing schools
DO NOT TELL ME THIS WAS ABOUT KIDS.
IT NEVER WAS.
This was ADULTS using 700,000 children, INCLUDING MINE, as political leverage against a president they don't like.
That is despicable.

Today a left-wing political group that uses children and teachers as pawns to promote all kinds of left-wing ideologies has forced the canceling of schools across the state in order to rally in Raleigh to fundraise for their organization.
Even though I know many parents are frustrated with the canceling of schools today (rightfully so), I urge those attending today’s rally to leave the unnecessary political jargon at home and come in the spirit of constructive free speech and help us deliver more competitive pay for teachers in NC, higher performing schools, and increases in student achievement.
I urge everyone to support my bill and the passed House budget that raises overall teacher pay by an average of 8.7% and starting teacher pay to #1 in the southeast.

Today, I had the opportunity to meet the fearless State and Local leaders of western North Carolina who are rebuilding their communities after the devastation of Hurricane Helene.
I saw first hand hurricane damage still present and will be making sure @FEMA relief continues to help Americans rebuild their homes and communities.

These families have been waiting long enough, and I'm grateful he's making sure the money actually moves.

Yesterday was a huge day for improving rural healthcare with the opening of the Wound Care Center at Rutherford Regional Health System! Thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this happen. This center will lead to faster recovery times, quicker rehabilitation, and a healthier community.
