These new Tesla V4 Folding Supercharger units are so smart. Tesla has begun installing them in Europe. Deployment happens twice as fast. Almost all of the complex work is now done at the factory before shipping. The Supercharger stalls and cabinet are attached to a steel base, then they are folded outwards before getting installed. By folding them when being shipped, it allows Tesla to now fit 16 charging stalls on a truck, vs 12 stalls previously ( 33% increase). Also cool how they can pre-install telescopic light posts as well. Tesla says this new method will be ~20% cheaper overall (per stall) for installation and deployment compared to previous methods, while being 2x faster to deploy.
