I love these threads because the premise (the surveillance state has grown too extreme; people are punished for giving their children freedom) sounds good. Then people in the replies happily describe their own parenting behaviors which justify government intervention
It is literally illegal for Millennials to raise children the way Boomers and Xers raised children.

Yooooo @NYCMayor, can you implement a rule that if NYPD is at a train station they have be visible from the turnstile? Their job is to prevent crime. If they’re visible, people won’t hop, and the crime is prevented. Hiding and trying to catch people hopping is fucked up.
