💡⚡ Un equipo del @CNIC_CARDIO demuestra que las #mitocondrias activas mantienen a las células dendríticas listas para responder. Este hallazgo establece un vínculo directo entre el metabolismo celular, la regulación génica y la activación de las células T y abre nuevas vías para mejorar #vacunas e #inmunoterapia contra el #cáncer.

💡⚡ A team from @CNIC_CARDIO has shown that active #mitochondria keep dendritic cells primed to respond. This finding establishes a direct link between cellular metabolism, gene regulation and T-cell activation, and opens up new avenues for improving #vaccines and #immunotherapy against #cancer.
The study, led by @sancholab from the CNIC and @SWculek from @IRBBarcelona, with @NachoHM3 (CNIC) as first author, challenges the traditional view that mitochondria play a minor role during the activation of dendritic cells.
