To mark Clean Air Day the Green Party has committed to introducing a Clean Air Act as part of our manifesto, which would set new air quality standards for the UK & enshrine the right to breathe clean air in law.

Masks in hospitals should just be the norm.
The WHO, BMA & RCN have all called for improved infection controls in hospitals - but their warnings have been ignored.
The current situation is simply not acceptable.
Will the next Government be willing to tackle this?

Vulnerable patients in your hospitals are SCARED to ask staff to mask in case it adversely affects their treatment.
This is no way to run healthcare in an ongoing pandemic.

I think Pete sums up a key issue many of us find when trying to be safe in healthcare. Requesting staff to use PPE has become a toxic request for many. The fact remains that they are the risk. By refusing to protect patients in this way we are forced to take on their risk….

We will modernize the clean air act to reflect current standards (ASHRAE), and ensure all schools, hospitals, govt buildings and LTC facilities have air quality monitoring and improvement to reach standards.

Weird that people in UK are outraged about Cryptosprodium in drinking water (with a relatively small number of people ill from it) but yet they couldn't seem to care less about a much more dangerous biohazard in the air they breathe, potentially in every public indoor setting.
