I saw my science heroes today ❤️

Huge 1 here! Cores are absolutely incredible. Think about it - They are facilities staffed with amazing people and amazing technology. They are the experts. They know more than you do! And they want to do the work *for* you! It is such a gift, such an accelerant.
Academic core facilities bring continuity while enabling access to disruptive technology quickly to research groups. Balancing the dualities of flexibility and standardization , robustness and customization are part of our everyday life.

Thanks for sharing, @NeBanovich!
Small piece of an airway from our first real Xenium run. Over 34M transcripts across a 1.5cm^2 region. Not a bad first shot on goal! @10xGenomics #spatialtranscriptomics #spatialbiology

I'll be at AGBT23. Who else is going?
Replying to @coregenomics
And it'll be great to catchup with some genomics friends, many of whom are on Twitter: @OmicsOmicsBlog @sbarnettARK @CatharineAquino @EmilyLeproust @Biud @genomicsguy @mason_lab @AlbertVilella @ScienceJill @DaleYuzuki ...are you going?

We're looking for a mammalian cell culture lead. It's a great opportunity for a cell culture specialist to gain exposure to single cell genomics. You'll be a part of the Sample Prep team at @10xGenomics - we're a good bunch, and we can't wait to meet you! careers.10xgenomics.com/care…
FFPE breast cancer clinical sample -> scFFPE-seq, Visium spatial, and Xenium in situ. Incredible work, from product development to application demonstration! A big team effort. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

Another very interesting FFPE dissociation paper! It's been a hot week for sc/snFFPE. I'm thrilled to see so many new methods coming online

Profiling the molecular heterogeneity in diverse patients is key to precision medicine & therapeutics. But single cell methods need fresh/frozen tissues (hard to scale), while FFPE tissues are routinely collected. We share single nucleus RNA-Seq for FFPE: biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

Yesterday we met a group of talented women. It's so inspiring to see this next generation of scientists, they asked great questions, and I would love to work with any of them in the future~! Thank you Ana Robles and @10xGenomics for hosting this amazing event!
Today tomorrow our Women in Imaging bootcamp hits the road!🚗🔬We had such an amazing time today - saw the MOSAIC w @gokul_upad @ABCUCBerkeley, then we heard all about 🔬 tech @zeiss_micro @ZEISSmeditec chatted about women in industry w/ Ana Robles and the @10xGenomics team!

I don’t know how long I’d last with this assortment! 😅🤣
When you reverse the polarity on a very critical agarose gel and realize it after you come back from lunch. 😭
You become a grad student twice. Once when you're admitted, and again when you forget to add an antibody and don't realize until the bus ride home
