Dear friends and supporters of free speech, I am Eldur, a gay man from Iceland who has spent years speaking out against the sexualisation, medicalisation and sterilisation of gender non conforming children and the erosion of gay rights, women’s rights and free expression. Today, 9 June 2026, I am standing in Héraðsdómur Reykjavíkur (Reykjavík District Court) facing a lawsuit brought by Ugla Stefanía Kristjónudóttir Jónsdóttir — co-author of the notorious Dentons “playbook” and Reykjavík City’s “transgender issues specialist” — simply because I called puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones on minors what they are: child abuse. The preliminary hearing is imminent. The case is moving forward. And right now, £6,000 (just under one million ISK) in legal fees is due immediately to keep my defence alive. This is not just about me. This is a SLAPP-style attempt to bankrupt and silence a gay man who refuses to lie about sex, biology, and the safeguarding of children. Ugla’s lawsuit is designed to scare anyone who dares question the current orthodoxy. If it succeeds, it sets a precedent that critics of gender ideology can be dragged through the courts and financially ruined for telling the truth. I have no big organisation behind me. I am an ordinary Icelander relying on the goodwill of people worldwide who still believe in evidence-based safeguarding, free speech, and the right of gay men to say that men are not women and that kids need protection. £6,000 is needed now — today — to pay the next tranche of legal costs and continue the fight. Ellie, I founded @lumos, which exists to combat child institutionalisation. When children are placed in so-called orphanages, usually due to conflict, poverty or disability, their risk of being trafficked skyrockets. I've been engaged in this issue for over twenty years and have contributed significant time and resources to it. My charitable trust, Volant, focuses on issues pertaining to disadvantaged women and children, which includes sexual exploitation. I'm not sure how many children you think you're saving by yelling at me on X, but if child trafficking is such an important issue to you, you could always devote time, effort and resources to organisations and charities working to stop it.

Now this is what I call a perfect précis.

I deleted an early post about this because Grok informed me that Maeve’s side won the debate. My fault for not checking further. Now Maeve’s mum (@lucymirandaward ) has given the actual figures (38 ayes, (Maeve’s side), 70 noes, 52 abstentions). So I’ll repeat it. That a speech this good - beautifully delivered, eloquent, coherent, full of passion, backed up with facts - lost the debate indicates just how committed (and I mean committed, not captured) universities are to gender ideology. And in that context it takes real bravery to stand up and tell them just how wrong they are. 70 people listening to this speech (and the other speakers on Maeve’s side) and voting against it is crazy. Hopefully, the abstentions hold out some hope. But because the ideology is so strongly held by university staff turning it around is going to be difficult.

The person who made this would be happy to see it shared as widely as possible. The world can now see the truth of “trans inclusion.”
