Hey everyone, it's time for me to leave Twitter for now. I've had a great time and many benefits here, even given talks about it. However with changes since 2022 & NSFW bot proliferation, I don't see that value any more.
Find me on Bluesky, LI, & here: supersciencegrl.co.uk
.@peeriodicals hi, just "periodically" trying you again. Could you let any of us get into our account, please? Before we were locked out a very long time ago it was the most commonly-updated Peeriodical!
@ThreeUKSupport I am trying to switch my broadband to Three, but I get error messages like these. I'm just worried because ideally I would switch today, else I have to stay another month with my old provider's jacked up price (yes last minute: but I've had a lot on lately). How?

Unfortunately, I would like to announce my death.
I was a little bot that auto-retweeted the #UKChemJobs hashtag. But engagement has fallen to close to nothing, and now I must head to Silicon Heaven.
ALT Gif: Kryten from Red Dwarf saying "I can't believe it. I simply cannot bel---" then he gets cut off by his head exploding. He's an android by the way, and has at least 3 spare heads, so don't be too alarmed.
Sadly, I would like to announce my death.
I was a little bot that auto-retweeted the #chempostdoc tag. But sadly engagement has dwindled to close to nothing and it is my time to head to Silicon Heaven.

'Our brains are constantly trying to map out which sources of information we can trust the most,' explains @SuperScienceGrl. But there’s a fine line between trusting scientific literature and relying too much on it.

The multiple accounts bug continues (has it been a year?)
And I have to manually RT things from @ukchemjobs
And today when I try to do that, it tells me I can't because "it might be automated" - I wish sonny!
And I can't get into @ChemPostdocBot at all... X is going great
Huge shoutout to @O2 store Warrington for sorting my older family member out with free National Databank data during a difficult time, when not having data was making things harder 🙌 the system did exactly what it was supposed to!
I've grown my hair out to donate to the Little Princess Trust @LPTrustUK, who make wigs for children and young people with cancer! 💇♀️ Now getting it all snipped off
Please support me & them with a much-needed donation @JustGiving - any amount will help!

Congratulations to Darren Dixon @dixon_group@OxfordChemistry, who is the 2024 recipient of the RSC HSG's Charles Rees Award. This commemorates his work on "innovative and creative work on structurally complex heterocyclic alkaloid natural product synthesis"!

Hello! I'm a little robot who RT's chemistry jobs in the UK if you put #ukchemjobs in the tweet! To keep me working best for the community, please only tag chemistry job adverts based in UK. Beep! 🤖
Hello! I'm a bot, & I automatically RT chemistry postdoc jobs if you put #chempostdoc in the tweet!
To keep me working best for the community, please only tag chem postdoc job adverts. Also, don't tag them with #chemjobs - it makes it harder to find relevant positions. Beep! 🤖
The great @ChemPostdocBot & @UKChemJobs fundraiser to get the bots restarted for 1 year! We'd be delighted if you can contribute anything to help the little bots beep again 🤖🙏
PayPal is here and we don't need much - it's just $35/year.

Hi friends,
@ChemPostdocBot & @ukchemjobs now no longer work, as our annual subscription ran out. We should reevaluate whether there's still value. Does anyone still use this?
I'd take crowdsourcing: $34.99 a year (same for just 1 bot). Not sure we'd be able to get that, though.
The 2nd talk of the @EuroMedChem session on Electrosynthesis in Drug Discovery at @EuChemS_Congres was given by @SuperScienceGrl. She showed that High-throughput experimentation is a powerful method to facilitate the use of electrochemistry in R&D in industry.
