A rare isotope called aluminum-26 offers insights into ancient stars. Researchers from #FRIB @michiganstateu developed a way to mimic the difficult-to-study isotope's quantum state. They could then calculate the rate at which aluminum-26 is destroyed: frib.msu.edu/news/2021/alumi…
