Our gem of the week is @August35750182, an NFT aficionado who balances being both an artist and a collector. Today we focus on August's art, often mixed-media work full of nuance worth diving into. Enjoy the thread, and join us for Artz Friday to get the weekend creativity flowing.
At the recent ProofOfPalm event, August minted Paradise Lost (Redux): Palm Trees in The "Hands of God." The piece weaves real audio of a nuclear detonation with clips of President Truman speaking in 1945. It's an ongoing exploration in glitching and layering video and audio. August uses art to spread information that matters, and this is one we'll surely dissect during Artz Friday.
