I am thrilled to share our new publication!! Using mice, organoids, live imaging and biochemistry, we show the RNA binding protein EIF4A3 directly binds and controls microtubules to promote axon growth. Thanks to super talented
@alsina_fc and an outstanding team of collaborators!
Happy to share our work about how neurons re-utilize gene expression regulators to directly control cytoskeletal dynamics. We found that the nucleating component of the Exon Junction Complex, EIF4A3, acts non-canonically as a microtubule-binding protein to regulate axonal growth.
