It takes so long to publish these days that four years is often not enough to complete what would be considered a successful PhD. For comparison, in just four years Jimi Hendrix recorded roughly 170 songs, released three legendary albums, played Woodstock, and changed music forever.

Most experiments fail, and negative results rarely get published. This means LLMs are unaware of the outcomes of most experiments.

It is a TWO YEAR clinical/translational position, where you will be interacting closely with patients, involved in translational clinical trials, and working hands on in the lab and with clinical databases. The ideal candidate is a great communicator, organized, and enthusiastic about patient-oriented clinical and lab research. You will get dedicated mentoring not just on the science and clinic, but also on career/professional development as well. We are looking for someone to start ASAP! DNA is not static inside the nucleus, and its dynamics play a crucial role in gene activation and DNA repair. By combining MINFLUX with conventional tracking methods, Mazzocca et al. have now resolved chromatin motion across an exceptional dynamic range—from microseconds to minutes: nature.com/articles/s41594-0… 🔬 Key findings: • Chromatin exhibits highly constrained, subdiffusive motion • Local DNA regions can interact rapidly • Long-range interactions occur very slowly and are therefore limited • Structural features such as loop extrusion strongly restrict mobility Congratulations to Matteo Mazzocca, Anders S. Hansen and all authors for refining our understanding of genome organization and its impact on gene regulation and DNA repair.
