Our study on nanodiscs and ion channel structure is now published: rdcu.be/duXkK. We hope this will spur more consideration into the impact of nanodiscs on membrane protein structure.

This is a very interesting paper showing that nanodiscs, typically used to preserve lipids for structural analysis of membrane proteins, can affect the structure of the target protein.
First paper I read this year, happy 2024!

Another paper from my postdoc with @CrinaNimigean on lipid modulation of an ion channel is out now. Great effort by @thon_oli further showcasing the value of a great model system. Congrats to the entire team!

Structures of channels in Open conformation are rare. Thrilled to share our latest manuscript..

A postdoc position is available in our lab to study how ion channels communicate with one another. Cryo-EM, electrophysiology, protein biophysics. A great opportunity for structural biologists to learn electrophysiology methods or vice versa.

These simulations of membrane proteins in nanodiscs were so fun. Thank you @WChengLab for your continued enthusiasm for simulations that go beyond the basics - we are lucky computational collaborators! @VikramDalal_37 @PageAnesthesia

It's my pleasure to share that I have been awarded an AHA postdoctoral fellowship. I would like to acknowledge my mentor @WChengLab for unimaginable support, referres: @Pravindrak_IITR, @ShaillyTomar and Alex Evers, and @American_Heart for belief in my proposal.

This project with @jerome_henin 's groups was years in the making! Now at @livecomsjtinyurl.com/yezhr73h
It’ll be great to have a new postdoc in my group to lead a new project (biochem/biophys/ephys). If there’s anyone out there who wants to chat, message me. I might be a little weird, but the proteins we’re interested in are weirder!

CIMED is looking to recruit a new tenure-track faculty member doing cryo-EM analyses of membrane proteins. For new or established faculty, and departmental affiliation in Anesthesiology, Biochemistry or Cell Biology, this is a fantastic opportunity! @WUSTL
We’re hiring! Projects combine genomics, in vivo ephys and synaptic physiology to understand how plasticity in basal ganglia circuits give rise to maladaptive decision making- with a focus on models of substance use disorder and chronic pain! (1/n)
3 postdocs landing dream jobs, 1 PhD student graduating means: A)I'm so proud of these amazing scientists and happy for their success & B) We have opportunities to recruit new colleagues!
We are looking for a new postdoc to join our group. There are several MS-based research opportunities in our group, including membrane proteins, viral proteins, and amyloid-forming proteins. If interested, please see the link below
