God of War, c’est Kratos. God of War, si.

Notice how its never just people using their apparently "correct pronouns", its someone getting it wrong so they can correct them or make a point. It's always been about being contrarian.

Finally caught up with Mixtape and gosh the tears in my eyes...the plot, the characters, the art, the lore, the emotional moments, the dialogue, the writing…everything was hack garbage from beginning to end.
after much thought i have decided to experience mixtape in the way the developers intended

💯🙌 I’m Black…. And I’m sick and tired of it. Western Devs are obsessed with gay bald ugly lesbians. Asian Devs and a few others are the only ones making us Black folks look and act cool again in games.

It does not snow where I live, so when I ended up knee-deep in the stuff in Crimson Desert when trekking through the mountains I had so much fun

“It’s called the Rasengan. They say my Rasengan is the best one they’ve ever seen. I concentrate my chakra perfectly. Nobody concentrates chakra like me. Look at this perfect spiral. You know most Presidents only have one chakra nature, I have all five.”

I’ve noticed a pattern; when a decent game comes out that expects you to be curious, to be observant and to pay attention, a lot of tourists-turned-reviewers are the first to rage quit, refund, or low-grade that game. Some games aren’t for everyone, but I’m starting to think the pattern is made pretty clear by those who say they don’t like yellow paint, but absolutely need it.
After wasting 20 minutes slamming his head into a boss with nothing but starter gear, Phil concludes that Crimson Desert is not a good game and rage quits.

No need to apologize. To most gamers, we all knew the Ai assets were temporary. Even if they weren’t, those were so inconsequential in the scheme of such a large game with 95% of the assets being human made. All the performative antics from a certain group never changed that; They only pushed postured content to farm botted likes from. They were never going to buy your game in the first place.
We would like to address questions regarding the use of AI in Crimson Desert. During development, some 2D visual props were created as part of early-stage iteration using experimental AI generative tools. These assets helped us rapidly explore tone and atmosphere in the earlier phases of production. However, our intention has always been for any such assets to be replaced, following final work and review by our art and development teams, with work that aligned with our quality standards and creative direction. Following reports from our community, we have identified that some of these assets were unintentionally included in the final release. This is not in line with our internal standards, and we take full responsibility for it. We also acknowledge that we should have clearly disclosed our use of AI. While these tools were primarily used during early production, with the expectation that these assets would be replaced prior to release, we recognize that this does not excuse the lack of transparency. We sincerely apologize for these oversights. We are currently conducting a comprehensive audit of all in-game assets and are taking steps to replace any affected content. Updated assets will be rolled out in upcoming patches. In parallel, we are reviewing and strengthening our internal processes to ensure greater transparency and consistency in how we communicate with players moving forward.

IGN is treating Crimson Desert like it launched in the same state as Cyberpunk 2077. Makes me wonder if IGN got a check from Pearl Abyss like they did with Marathon, would they be more accommodating?

Pearl Abyss has already made significant, meaningful changes to Crimson Desert following a rocky launch, but patches can't fix the game's biggest problem. bit.ly/4lSq5PW
Community note
This is clickbait. The game did not release with any game breaking bugs and users have not reported any game breaking bugs. Most reviews have been favorable. metacritic.com/game/crimson-d…
