My cousin staying in BLR is married for 15 years and had decided early on to not have kids. Carrying the DINK title in urban metros till 2020 was really cool (don’t know the status now). And now, the couple in their early 40’s are not able to have kids, IVF is painful and scary and natural conception is just not possible at this age. Boomers were absolutely correct with their timelines in life. Millennials have screwed it. Let’s see what Gen Z’s do. Meanwhile I have a 3 year old son, smart but extremely naughty. I really don’t know how my wife and my life would’ve been without him. Let certain things go as per nature. Disclaimer: 1. To all the idiots claiming population pressure on the planet. That is primarily because of dis balanced reproduction in certain parts of the world. Your not having one/ two kids will neither add/ subtract that population growth. Even if you don’t have kids, planet will still be burdened by population in some corner. 2. As for expenses, make your lifestyle choices wisely. Don’t upgrade it unnecessarily. You have funds to do a vacation but not fund a child’s annual education is an extremely selfish reason. Offer: I can plan your help expenses according to the number of kids you have and the city you live in. This service is free. 3. If you don’t want to have kids then don’t blame it on expensive education and high cost of upbringing. Just say for “our selfish reasons.” Dont give useless reasons. 4. As for one person in a marriage, who doesn’t want to have kids, the other one should run immediately. Don’t suffer because of him/ her. #peace #proudfather

My barber wears a Janeu in sync with his community. x.com/i/status/2066137826752…

Doesn’t matter which country or nationality the barber is from, and doesn’t matter what hairstyle you ask for, In bklodo ko baal apni marzi se hi kaatne hain. No matter how expensive or cheap the salon is, most of them just don’t know how to cut hair properly. Face shape, hair length, hair type etc.. saalon ko kisi cheez se lena dena nahi hota Bas ek hi trendy hairstyle sabko chipka dete hain. One of the most fraudulent occupations out there. Hardly 5% of them actually know the trade and have the skills.

90% DINK or SINK couples by choice in 30s will be feeling purposeless and lonely in 40s. In 30s, you are young, newly married, a lot to explore about each other, you'll have friends who are either single or newly married, you can have company with similar types of people. But as time passes, things get boring, your friends become parents, their priorities change, they're no more pack the bag and let's travel the world, they are now busy in dropping kids to school and bringing them back home, their travel schedules dependent on their kid's school schedule. And suddenly you start feeling lonely, purposeless in life, you don't know why you're earning, where to spend and all. Human is a social animal as they say, you can't live in isolation and be happy forever. Don't fall for instagram DINK couples life, that works only on Instagram and that too for a limited time.

On the left is Nikhil Ravishankar. He went to school in New Zealand, worked all his life in NZ. Yet in 2025 when he was appointed CEO of Air New Zealand, the wave of online racism directed at him became such a tsunami that the country's 3 leading media outlets, the New Zealand Herald, 1News and Radio New Zealand, had to shut down their comments section. The sheer volume of racist comments made it impossible for moderators to do their job. It was like half the population of New Zealand had decided to be racist on Ravishankar. On the right is Air India’s current CEO - New Zealander Campbell Wilson whose appointment in 2022 attracted no such backlash in India. Wilson hails from Christchurch, arguably the most racist city in New Zealand.

Have said this so many times, and I realise the distortions have become so entrenched that have to keep saying it again and again - Karna wasn't denied education by Dronacharya. Mahabharat is absolutely clear about it. He refused Ekalavya, but not Karna.

“Seeing a beautiful young woman gives pleasure to anyone. But seeing a mature woman of 27-28 years, with one child in her lap and a healthy 5 year old child walking while holding her finger, gives me greater pleasure. I would consider that woman more fortunate.” ~ Veer Savarkar

We used to have a lot of Carnatic music casettes at our home in our childhood (100 ). For a very long time, the only music we were exposed to at home by my parents was only Carnatic. This song composed by Sri Koteeswara Iyer and sung by Smt. ML Vasanthakumari was in one such very old HMV casette. I must have been around 10 years old (or maybe even younger) when I first listened to this Chalanatta Raga. Was awestruck by this beautiful divine raga and wondering how could such a beautiful Raga exist that could evoke both happy and sad feelings at the same time 🥹🥲 I get gooseflesh whenever I sing/listen to this Raga having the uniquely divine Shadshruti Rishabha (R3) and Daivata (D3) swaras 🥹🥺 Later got to know that the other female voice in this song was MLV's main sishya Smt. @RagunathanSudha ji Truly a timeless classic! youtu.be/e0tnEBjSTwI?si=zXoO… What path remains for me? O great treasure of compassion, O charming son of Uma, O repository of noble virtues and divine grace, Other than You, who else is there for me? I am but a simple, ignorant soul. Why do You not bestow Your grace upon me? Why do You seem to toy with me, O Lord? O Lord who sports and moves through this transient world, Your sacred feet alone are my refuge. (Interesting pun on the word Chalanatta that's the Raga name! More about it below) For your devotee Kavi Kunjara Dasa, There is no other shelter besides You. The poet is crying out to Lord Muruga: "O Muruga, embodiment of compassion and virtue, I am helpless and ignorant. Why do You withhold Your grace? Your feet alone are my refuge; I have nowhere else to turn." 😭😓 The dominant emotion is Sharanagati (total surrender) mixed with viraha (yearning for the Lord's grace). It is a deeply emotional and personal plea from a devotee who feels abandoned and longs for Murugan's compassionate glance. On the interesting pun/Siledai - ☺️ சிலேடை (Silēḍai) is a poetic device in Tamil literature where the same word or phrase conveys two or more meanings simultaneously, creating a clever double meaning or layered interpretation. It is similar to a pun or double entendre in English, but often more sophisticated and artistic. In this song, "சலநாட்டா" (Chalanāṭṭā / Sala-nāṭṭā) is a somewhat old poetic expression and can be broken down as: சலம் (chalam) = movement, instability, restlessness, changefulness, the ever-changing nature of worldly life. நாட்டா / நாதா (nāṭṭā / nāthā) = lord, ruler, master, one who presides over. So "பூதல சலநாட்டா" can be understood as: "O Lord of this ever-changing world" What a beautiful song where the composer has seamlessly woven the Raga name Chalanattai into the lyrics ! :) 🥲
