I have been raising the need to modernize Canada’s laws so police can keep pace with organized crime networks exploiting digital technologies. This has neen a major advocacy point for @PeelPolice, @DC_Milinovich and @ChiefNish. I personally raised this issue directly with Prime Minister Carney, and I want to thank him, and the Government of Canada for taking action. This legislation will go a long way in supporting law enforcement’s efforts to combat sophisticated transnational crime. Well done! 👏🏼

I was saddened to learn of the passing of Ken Hackenbrook, who served the residents of Georgina as Councillor from 1994 to 2014. Over his two decades in office, Ken helped shape the town we know today.
During his tenure, Ken served with dedication, purpose and a deep commitment to his constituents. My thoughts are with his wife, Lorraine, his family, friends, and his former colleagues.
The Town is saddened to hear of the passing of former Councillor Ken Hackenbrook. A long-time Georgina resident, Ken dedicated himself to the community. He served as a Georgina Councillor from 1994-2014. Flags will be lowered at all facilities.
