Here is a nice Tweetorial by @HarrisonMYork on our recent preprint on endosomal maturations.
Many kinds of endosomes exist in cells that organise transport. Cargoes move from one kind to another as part of their itinerary. How do they do it so efficiently? Our latest #preprint is out biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/… detailing how very early endosomes mature in a robust manner.

EXCITED to unroll this 🧵 on our new story on the metabolic licensing of animal development... How did we even get here..? shorturl.at/vuCIh Early embryo is thought of a pre-set machine that's set to go once it's fertilized - check out this gorgeous 📽️from Phil Keller!

Our latest out today @Nature! We revisit a century-old theory and show that metabolic gradients work hand-in-hand with genetic&signalling instructions to shape the embryo. Glucose isn't just an energy source, it acts as a major conductor of the body plan🍬 nature.com/articles/s41586-0…

'How absurd. Poker machine giant Aristocrat ($22.1 million) and fellow slot maker Ainsworth Game Technology ($15 million) are in top 1 per cent for taxpayer-subsidised R&D. There's also bookmaker PointsBet ($9.95million) which splurged exorbitant cash in the saturated US market.'

Today's @NobelPrize for John Hopfield recognizes only one of his contributions - he's a true polymath. I strongly recommend his solo author PNAS papers (i) long-range e- tunneling in proteins (1974), (ii) kinetic proof-reading (1974), (iii) Hopfield nets (1982). Each is a gem!
