The first paper from my PhD is out @ScienceAdvances! It's a tale of two #PTMs brought together by Deltex E3. Deltex surprisingly binds #NAD and modifies #ubiquitin tail with #ADPribose. This inactivates Ub, but is readily reversed by deubiquitinases. (1/3) advances.sciencemag.org/cont…

#PTMs are like codes that are branded onto a target protein. The codes are read by dedicated "readers", which can change a protein's cellular fate. Ub itself is a protein, so it can be modified by other small PTMs - and we have a brand new code! (2/3)
