AMD CEO Lisa Su just killed Nvidia’s $4,000 AI box with a $1,499 lunchbox. She walked on stage, held it in one hand, and ran a 235 billion parameter model live. No data center. No cloud. No rented GPU. The chip inside is something nobody saw coming. AMD’s Ryzen AI Max 395 is the first x86 silicon where CPU and GPU share the same 128GB of memory. That single trick lets a desktop run models that used to need a server rack. Out of those 128GB, Linux hands the GPU 110GB to play with. For context, an RTX 5090 gives you 32GB. A 4090 gives you 24. This box gives you more than three times either of them, in a chassis the size of a thick paperback. The benchmark that broke the room: this chip beat an Nvidia RTX 5080 by more than 3x on DeepSeek R1 inference. A $1,499 lunchbox outrunning a $1,000 discrete graphics card on a real AI workload. Nvidia spent a decade convincing the world you needed their hardware for serious AI. AMD just put that on a desk for half the price. Here is what nobody is telling you. A heavy AI user right now pays $200 for Claude Code Max, $200 for ChatGPT Pro, $20 for Cursor, $20 for Gemini. That is $5,280 a year leaving your account. The box pays itself off in 9 months and then runs free for the rest of its life. Install Ollama. Pull Qwen3 235B. Point Claude Code at localhost. Same interface you already use, except now nothing leaves your machine, nothing costs per request, and no company throttles your usage at 3am when you finally have time to build. This is the moment every AI subscription becomes optional. Lawyers stop fearing OpenAI leaks. Developers stop watching the token meter. Founders stop renting H100s for prototypes that never ship because the bill scared them. The first thousand people to figure this out will own the next two years of private AI consulting. Save this, and read the full breakdown article below you are watching the next shift hit before everyone else does.
Community note
The 128GB GMKtec EVO-X2 mini PC with Ryzen AI Max 395 currently costs $3,199 on Amazon, not $1,499. The 3x performance claim over RTX 5080 applies only to AI models exceeding the latter's 16GB VRAM. amazon.com/GMKtec-Compute… wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-ai-m…

Every citizen of India is on its own!
“This is the dead body of our second officer. He died two days ago and his body is decomposing. We reached out to the Indian Embassy but haven’t got a positive response. Our company is hiding from us,” says Indian captain of MT Celestial anchored in Oman

This is the dead body of an Indian sailor, killed by the US Navy 4 days ago. Forget condemnation. There wasn't even a condolence from the PM. Forget condolences. The Govt couldn't even bring his body home. It lies decomposing in a polythene bag. No dignity when alive. No dignity in death. Compromised PM

Very unfortunate incident. Rip 🪦 iaf pilots.
IAF AN32 Jorhat. What on earth happened here? Flares nicely. Main gear touches down first, all good. Looks like centerline,100-105 knots. All well first 7 seconds. Then it veers left at 00:08 here. What asymmetry? Props? Left main gear? Did reverse thrust (negative pitch) kick in late and only on engine #1? The props appear to be feathered right at the end.

All this drama of going to 5 foreign countries every month to bring "business" is plain stupid. Solve basics things, like:- 1) No dogs/animals on roads 2) Proper garbage collection 3) Easy availability of taxis (& fair pricing) This itself boosts tourism by 15-20% especially foreign tourists. And, helps bring foreign $ (which we desperately need now). Best part: the budget for 1 foreign visit can be used to solve all above issues in places like Goa. We won't do it. Because we are "talk" economy. Not an action economy. It is common sense to pick low hanging fruits first. But, who cares about common sense.

India has lost over 2.3 million hectares of tree cover since 2000, yet we keep talking about GDP, expressways and smart cities as if forests are optional. Forests are not a luxury. They are the source of clean air, water, biodiversity and a livable climate. A country that cuts down its forests faster than it restores them is borrowing from future generations to pay for today’s development.

Has the same US Navy attacked any merchant vessel with a Russian or Chinese crew? Before firing the missiles I am sure the US knew that the crew on board is from India.
Firing Hellfire missiles on ships with Indian crew is hardly a friendly act of USA. First they killed Iranian sailors in our backwaters and now they are killing our merchant seamen.

23 year old Aditya Sharma from Himachal Pradesh was killed in the US strikes on a vessel off the Oman coast. A young Indian lost his life in a conflict that was never his. Have we heard a single strong condemnation from the Govt yet?

15 years ago, I moved to Norway 🇳🇴... carrying my Indian work ethic - weekend work, skipped lunches, late evenings, and pushing myself even when I was not well. Then one day, during my early days in Norway, my boss called me in. I thought I was going to be praised. You replied to my email on Saturday. And you cancelled your vacation to deliver a project without telling me. I know you meant well, but that is not okay. Vacation is mandatory. You never skip it. Your juniors are watching you. If they see this, they will think this is what dedication means. I got scolded… for working too much. I sat there confused. In India, this might have earned me a “highly dedicated” remark. Here, it was a problem. That day broke something in me. It made me see the hustle, the anxiety, and the need to keep grinding all the time - and for the first time, I broke in tears for everything it had quietly cost me. Your thoughts - how are bosses and corporate culture today for you

What the actual Fcuk? Ambani paid millions to the Trump Organization. The Trump family starts showing up around Ambani events. Ambani money flows into Trump-linked ventures. Then Trump’s tariffs hit India while Reliance’s US refinery plans stand to benefit. And we’re supposed to believe this is all perfectly normal? 🔗 propublica.org/article/trump…
