My name is Mohammadreza Vadiati. For nearly 8 years, I have lived in Canada separated from my wife and daughter. I came to Canada as a refugee with my son because my life and my family's safety were at risk in Iran. After being recognized as a Protected Person, I applied for Permanent Residence. After more than 6 years of waiting, my application was refused because of mandatory military service I was forced to complete in Iran many years ago—something I had no choice in. When I arrived in Canada, I started from nothing. In Iran, I worked in the poultry industry. In Canada, I took whatever jobs I could find, worked hard, paid taxes, contributed to my community, and built a new life from the ground up. Today, I proudly own a successful small business, in North Vancouver. But despite all of my efforts, I remain separated from my family. I cannot safely return to Iran. My wife and daughter cannot join me in Canada. My daughter has Down syndrome and needs her father. For years, I have watched her grow up through phone screens and video calls. I have missed birthdays, milestones, and precious moments that I can never get back. No video call can replace a father's hug. We have tried every legal pathway available. We submitted multiple immigration applications and even applied for a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) for my wife and daughter so our family could finally be together. Those applications were also refused. Today, I am trapped in an impossible situation. I cannot go to my family, and my family cannot come to me. Nearly 8 years have passed, and we are still waiting. I am not just an immigration file number. I am a husband. I am a father. I am a small business owner. I am a member of my community. Most importantly, I am a person who simply wants to be reunited with the people he loves. Eight years apart is too long for any family. Please share our story and help our voice to be heard   @CanadianPM @CitImmCanada @PierrePoilievre and those in positions of authority, please hear our family's story. #FamilyReunification #BringFamiliesTogether #Immigration #RefugeesWelcome #ProtectedPerson #HumanRights #Canada #CanadianImmigration #IRCC #RefugeeRights #DownSyndrome #DisabilityRights #FamilyUnity #NorthVancouver #SmallBusiness #Justice #Equality #ImmigrantStories #Hope #KeepFamiliesTogether

Dear Mr. Ehsasi (@AliEhsassi), I’d like to bring the following points to your attention: - We all want to ensure regime elements cannot find Canada a safe haven, and we agree that pragmatic actions must be taken. Yet no practical steps have been implemented, while the Liberal gov. is punishing conscripts by wrongly labelling them “members” of the IRGC through PFLs (as you are aware and have previously received solid documentation on). Moreover, the 2023 @globalnews article reported that 700 regime affiliates, confirmed by the RCMP, are in Canada, and sadly, they still remain here! (globalnews.ca/news/10097909/…) - You’ve mentioned a “responsible manner.” I’m personally surprised that after nearly 2.5 years of affected conscripts’ families posting countless tweets on X and tagging you as a responsible MP, you are only now responding to this post. My question is: Is it “responsible” to ignore 2.5 years of efforts, yet accuse us of flagging an issue that the gov. has recently been criticized for due to lack of responsibility? - You asked me to send you docs. However, this is the responsibility of Canadian agencies to provide. I’d recommend wrapping up the current case you have already been provided (refer to the conscription issue) before jumping to the next case.

Exactly one day after the parliamentary session in which @liberal_party and @Safety_Canada claimed that IR regime affiliates and IRGC thugs are under their radar, another regime-linked official reportedly appeared at Toronto airport. Why does this keep happening? According to statements by @MelissaLantsman and @MichelleRempel, the Liberal gov has chosen to punish conscripts instead of focusing on senior regime officials. The conscripts that not only had no ties to the regime, but sought a better life in Canada, far from the brutality of the Islamic Republic. How long will this pretense continue? How long will this double standard remain in place? As a member of the Unheard Conscripts Advocacy Network (UCAN), and based on solid documentation, we can confirm that many of the rejected visas and permits the gov points to were related to conscripts, not actual regime affiliates. We hope @CPC_HQ and its respected members will continue pushing for a concrete solution to end this misleading process and bring the purpose of IRGC designation back to its intended goal. As the UCAN team, we are also pleased to collaborate constructively in this effort. I’like to express my appreciation to @MelissaLantsman, @MichelleRempel, and @ShuvMajumdar for correctly recognizing the conscription issue. I also urge the Liberals to end this unfair approach, work across party lines with the Conservatives, and focus on removing IR regime operatives from Canada🇨🇦 x.com/irgcconscripts/status/…
Lantsman and Rempel on getting the Iranian regime officials out of Canada Lantsman "If the number isn't 700, then the Minister ought to tell Canadians and we need to know, all Canadians need to know what that number is." "And we know the most important number is that they have expelled only one. So we're calling on the Minister to actually get to work." Rempel-Garner "He argued that he shouldn't be removed from Canada because he wasn't enough of a senior official." "...We're not talking about somebody who was conscripted into the IRGC sort of against their will." "We're talking about people who were active and willing participants and profited off of the regime's activities at a senior level, human rights abusers that have no legal reason to be in the country." @MelissaLantsman @MichelleRempel @LenaMetlegeDiab

One month after the massacre of Iranians by the IR regime, it is critically important that concrete action be taken to prevent actual regime affiliates from fleeing accountability for their heinous crimes. In this context, a petition has been prepared by @vincentneilho calling for serious action against IR regime affiliates in Canada. The Canadian gov and the ruling @liberal_party must take proper steps to accurately identify regime affiliates, unlike what has been done over the past one year, where only conscripts have been unfairly affected and mistakenly labeled members of the IRGC org. These are individuals who were themselves victims of the regime’s extremist sys and sought safety in countries such as Canada. The hope is that PM @MarkJCarney adminstration will not settle for symbolic statements and will instead pursue fair, pragmatic action. The petition link for your support and signature is below. ourcommons.ca/petitions/en/P…

We, former IRGC conscripts in Canada, fully support MP @vincentneilho's petition. Conscripts were forced into unpaid service under threat. We fled the same regime terrorizing the people of Iran. We share the same enemy. Yet we are punished again—used as disposable proof of “action” while real regime officials and IRGC thugs remain untouched. We have seen enough victims being victimized. Enough silence. Enough ambiguity. We demand explicit implementation, clear distinctions, and real enforcement against perpetrators—not their victims. With Conservative leadership, this injustice can end. Protect the victims. Hold the criminals accountable. We’ve been with you from the beginning and our support is not going anywhere. Freedom and justice will always outlast tyranny. Strength, prayers, and protection to the brave people of Iran, rising beneath the Lion and Sun against a brutal regime that has crushed its own people and spread terror far beyond its borders, including here in Canada, for decades. Where is the noise? The headlines, the marches, the campus outrage? The loudest self-styled champions of human rights have fallen silent as Iranians risk prison and death to reclaim their country from one of the world’s most repressive regimes. 🇨🇦🦁☀️

Based on my direct communication with physicians inside Iran, Mashhad alone has reported over 150 confirmed deaths. What is clear is this: in the past 24 hours, the Iranian government carried out a massacre against unarmed civilians.
