The replies are full of people calling this a lie because "he doesn't hate Jews, he just would not want to work for one". But remember, there is no antisemitism problem, it's all just completely justified criticism of Israel.
*Applies for an NYC real estate job* "Dear hiring manager, I hate jews" Announcement to everyone: "I'm the guy who hates jews" - sincerely, my full name and occupation *Becomes un-hirable* "The jews did this" This is so ridiculous it has to be an elaborate bit lmao

You gotta feel sorry for people like Nate Silver. Imagine having to watch your entire profession be outsourced to people with gambling addictions.

This level of cultural currency is something the old Republican Party didn’t have.

Good thing I'm not American, because I'd fucking hate this.
If you hate this you aren’t American.

The World Cup is genuinely unmatched, Curacao could lose this match 10-1 now but that one goal alone has given their people a moment that will live forever with them

It really needs to be emphasized that Trump isn't just the most corrupt president we've ever had (and there's no close second), he's also the most corrupt leader in any modern democracy. This really isn't something you see in the first world.
Wait, is this for real? Trump spent $60 million of our taxpayer funds to host a UFC fight and then is selling UFC coin to line his family’s pockets. The Trump corruption swamp is a mile deep. cnn.com/2026/06/09/politics/…

Soccer has always been defined by free-flowing, unbroken action. But for the World Cup in America, FIFA is using “hydration breaks” to shoehorn in commercials. on.wsj.com/4oomwCq

But one guy being able to buy himself every single elected official in the country without even noticing the dent is a huge fucking problem, actually.
I hate Elon but it's got nothing to do with his money. He deserves credit for his successes in business. And I wish people would understand that one guy having a bunch of money does not prevent you from having money. There is no fixed pie of wealth.

Pretty good illustration for how SpaceX is mostly a scam, actually.
Good Morning from Germany, where the entire Dax – the 40 largest listed companies – is barely bigger than SpaceX, now valued at $2.1tn. One rocket company versus corporate Germany.

German can still handle the round of 32 ('Sechzehntelfinale'), but a round of 64 would definitely sound wrong.
The English language taps out at "quarterfinals" and we have to resort to the weasel phrase "round of 16," while Spanish goes for the elegant "octavos de final." But FIFA with its boundless greed and its round of 32 has defeated the capability of any language to keep up

It is, however, both fitting and very funny that this got introduced when the world cup came to the country whose people are more attached to their water bottles than to their phones.
“hydration break” just as Morocco scored and have all the momentum on their side. genuinely the worst thing this World Cup has introduced man

In which an AI company discovers that people actually believed them when they said that their product was very, very dangerous.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

This is a really good example of how social media cooks your brain, because it's pretty much "Colorless green ideas sleep furiously," but using the Twitter buzzwords du jour.
Disclosure Day’s final act is the kind of pityslop that “anti-Netanhayu” Liberal Zionists thrive. The grotesque distortion of evoking real suffering with aliens is like…a textbook example of reifying of one’s *lack* of culpability when forced to acknowledge imperialism.

Today, the European Union took a major step forward. All Member States agreed to open the first accession negotiations cluster with Ukraine and Moldova. At the first Intergovernmental Conference on Monday, we will open the cluster on fundamentals; the backbone of the accession process. It covers the core values and principles on which the EU is built, from the rule of law to strong democratic institutions. This is a recognition of the determination, courage and hard work shown by both countries in advancing reforms, even in the face of immense challenges. And a signal that the EU’s offer of peace, stability and opportunity is unmatchable. Enlargement is a strategic choice. By bringing our nations closer together, we strengthen peace, security and prosperity across our continent. In a world marked by growing uncertainty, a larger European Union is in our common interest. Enlargement remains one of the EU’s greatest success stories and our best investment in our shared future.

You’re in a tech interview and they ask you: “Why should we hire you when Codex can write code?” What’s your answer?

That's assuming you don't *need* the job. It's rarely a good idea to be a dick in a job interview if you want to be hired. But the question is either "just a test", in which case it's asinine, or it actually reflects their views, in which case you don't want to work there.

No idea. It used to be that if you got a speeding ticket in Switzerland as a German nothing would happen unless you get return to Switzerland and get picked out at the border. Nowadays I can tell from experience that that ticket will follow you to the ends of the earth.
I’m a Brit in America who’s somehow managed to receive 2 parking tickets in 2 days. Does anyone know if I have to pay these?

Which, to be clear, is a GOOD thing. International cooperation is good. Speeding is bad. Abusing the fact that you're a foreign national passing through is bad. Abusing open borders is bad.
