Usually, the loser pays the winner but Trump completely flipped the rules. No wonder he’s blaming his failure on the Kurds.

Appalling. They fought beside us. Now, we celebrate talks with the enemy, and the enemy knows more than our ally. This is shocking.

The Trump administration has announced they'll need to spend an estimated $1 billion to combat the New World Screwworm.

Trump said he demanded unconditional surrender, we just didn’t know he meant America’s.

This emerged out of our own foolishness. The KRG is overly committed to being inline with US foreign policies and general strategic alignment - the USA on the other hand couldn’t care less about the KRG; what matters to them is the military base in Hawler which the KRG fails to utilise as means to pressure the USA. The KRG also provides the USA with very valuable intelligence. And I know about the ways the USA pressures us - however, we have provided them with the means to pressure us by being overly committed to the imagined US-KRG alliance. The *US-backing* is imagined and not founded in reality nor is there any agreement or similar.
Many Kurds still see U.S. backing as essential for survival. Yet the limited U.S. support of last years made us an even bigger target for our enemies, while they themselves enjoy excellent relations with the U.S., like a from former AlQaeda terrorist to Irans most hardline regime

We, the people of Iran, trusted the President of the United States, and in return, he betrayed us. He betrayed us the people whose 40,000 loved ones never came home. He exploited the blood of our innocent children to advance his own political goals. His legacy will be more shameful than that of any American president in history. But the truth is that the price of this betrayal will not be paid by Iranians alone. The entire world, including the American people, will bear the consequences. We will continue our struggle with or without America’s false promises and empty support. Shame on you, President Trump. @POTUS @SecRubio @LindseyGrahamSC @marklevinshow

Trump rushed into this confrontation aggressively without calculating the real cost. Now he’s rushing to get out of it without understanding the cost of backing down. He’s making the same mistake twice: first underestimating the enemy, and now underestimating how much credibility America is losing by appearing weak and desperate.

Dear @SecRollins: You lie. The average life cycle of a Screwworm ranges from 14 to 54 days depending on temperature and humidity. The trump Administration has been in office over 500 days. If you can’t accept responsibility, or even apologize for messing up, you need to resign.

This is NOT a DEAL. But a Memorandum Of Understanding towards a deal. Here's what is happening now: The Strait Of Hormuz will reopen, controlled by Iran. The U.S. will completely lift it's Navy blockade. Iran will receive monetary compensation. Through lifting of some sanctions or through various Gulf countries. No leadership change. The Islamic Republic of Iran is still standing. Thus far, Iran won this war.

the world needs the strait of hormuz reopened. should have happened months ago, but today’s outcome is the best option available. having said that, iran war has been a disaster. no agreement on nukes, ballistic missiles, support for proxies…and one of the world’s most brutal regimes remains in place…and is getting paid off. biggest foreign policy failure of trump administration by a long margin.
