Indeed, dismantling the Mexican drug cartels should not only be a national security priority for the #UnitedStates, but a priority for the entire hemisphere and for global geopolitics as well. Having a neighboring country with a Marxist government that is connected to drug traffickers, cooperating with them, defending them, and maintaining alliances and friendly relations with adversaries of the United States such as Russia and China is not beneficial to U.S. interests.
The fact that political campaigns associated with the Morena party and its allies have benefited from cartel support or financing is unacceptable and must be punished with the full force of the law. Therefore, helping #Mexico free itself from the Morena party and its allies before it is too late should be considered a priority.
